Safety class was excellent. Well worth the price. A must for new gun owners. John, instructor, was very knowledgeable and informative. I left the class feeling confident that I am a responsible gun owner. I would highly recommend this class.

Won’t step foot in that place again because of the people that frequent that place. A-holes from Butler that certainly are not a good ambassador to the black rifle community. One guy in an Army hat tried to call me out as i was getting into my car. Im a veteran too...an officer a 19A! I and had to choke my words down to that individual to keep my composure. I like my freedom snd firearms so I certainly didn’t want to waste those on that guy! I tried to engage the man nicely, but wasn’t having it. Saying he “actually served.” Served what? Tacos at toco bell in butler?! Certainly wasn’t anyone in a combat MOS like 11B or 19K. I think he did claimed a 19K “armor crewmember” and Sullivan cup winner. What a joke! Sullivan cup is the best of the best Armor crewmen tournament from units n few countries. I saw the Australians there one year. Anyways...He had two others with him that climbed out of a new-ish truck...another guy and female i believe. The main antagonist was carrying some coyote tan rifle bag. Quintessential butler person, but this one tries to call others out to hide the fact he’s stolen valor. Theres a lot of great veterans that go there from time to time. Actually was a veteran friend of mine i served with that told me of the place. Down Range Supply...you can thsnk your patronage driving off other paying customers. The clerk is somewhat welcoming, doesn’t talk much but thats forgivable. Range is nice. Cartridge selection is so so. You wont find much outside of the most popular rounds and even then its only a couple selections of each by obscure manufacturers. So so selection of guns, but nothing to write home about. The basic stuff Anderson, palmetto state armory, a henry lever action which was about the nicest thing in there, a used glock, bersa, couple used colt 1911’s, n more over priced black rifles.Im all about supporting my local firearm businesses, but I forgot how rude people are and why my friends are veterans and a small group of us. Ive bought ammo at this place before and planned on having some NFA stuff sent there, but that won’t happen now. I will avoid that place like the plaque. Its not the clerks fault, but i can choose not to interact with that place to avoid those types of 20-30 some year old miserable people. Unfortunately im in my early 30’s but not from Butler and not a miserable person that messes with other veterans. If you would just talk to a person first you can tell in a few sentences if they actually served. That guy was on the offensive that I couldn’t even talk to him about the Army. It was a bad experience that will stick with me unfortunately.

Bullet prices are reasonable. They have a big selection of guns, staff is nice and will work with you. The range that just opened is an indoor pistol shooting range for any distance between 15 ft and 50 ft. It has 7 lanes and the targets operate on an electronic remote that you have to go out and come back. There's a $20 annual registration fee. You can rent a lane for $18/hr or you can buy a yearly pass for $299 where you can come and shoot as often as you want. I went with a friend and split a lane so it was $9 each. It wasn't bad considering one of us would be reloading when the other was shooting. Knowing how often I wanna go shoot and how much bullet prices are. I'll probably just split a lane with him twice a month for $216/year total. The one thing I'd like to see them add is an 18" wide countertop the entire length of the back wall to set your bags, additional guns, ammo, targets, instead of having to set that stuff on the floor.

They had the ar15 sling I've been looking around for. Although the selection of products is lacking, I got what I wanted for a decent price. The staff were friendly and professional.
