Dr. Heyde and his team are the best. They have been our vet for 5 years now and have been very supportive and sweet to all 3 of our pets. Unfortunately we lost our shepherd (15 yo) in December, but before that Dr. Heyde took such wonderful care of him every time I brought him in the office even in his less mobile days when walking on tile or staying upright was a challenge. Now we just have our 2 kitties who typically come in as a duo and Dr. Heyde and his team always show them so much care and compassion. I also appreciate the holistic approach Dr. Heyde takes with my guys; he isn't a doctor that is going to try to upsell you or make you spend extra money. He never rushes out of the room, spends adequate time with each patient and has also always been available to answer questions and give advice via phone or email when something comes up outside of an appointment. Really sweet and knowledgable group of people, brand new state-of-the-art building and fast, reliable care! I would definitely recommend Dr. Heyde and the Pets First team to anyone looking for a new vet!

Dr. Heyde and his team are caring professionals who treat my dogs like their own. Dr.Heyde has replied promptly to my panicked text messages on weekends and nights when my dog gets into shenanigans. It's clear how much he loves dogs. Wouldn't trust my dogs with any other vets!

I was visiting PA and our dog began limping and putting no weight on his back paw. I went to Pets First and Dr. Heyde and his son were truly amazing. We were greeted by the nicest woman who assured me they could see my dog. The entire staff was kind, caring, and took the time to thoroughly check out my dog. Dr. Heyde gave me a few options, let me decide, and told me he would be there that night and tomorrow if anything changes. Switch your Vet to Patient First, you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Heyde has been taking excellent care of my many dogs and cats for years now, and I can't say enough good things about him (and the entire office). They're responsive to questions, good about scheduling appointments in a timely manner, and extremely helpful generally. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

The entire team at Pets First is incredibly compassionate and caring. They got to the bottom and treated my cats condition rather than just treating his symptoms. They greatly improved the quality of his life!

since they deleted my original review please see yelp i copied and pasted it for you. i’ll keep this one short doctor white is extremely unprofessional. she offered to pay for the medication to put down my cat in may. i said please thank pets first for me but she wanted me to know it came out of her pocket. because i didn’t react the way she would of liked for her act of kindness while i was grieving the end of life of my cat i’m not aloud back to pets first. this was an end of life situation a professional vet should know that the client could be emotional. instead of writing a professional note that i wasn’t aloud to return since i accepted her act of kindness….. i had to call and find out in december. this is complete manipulation- what she did to someone while they were in extreme sadness. if i had been able to book i wouldn’t of wanted to see her again anyway as she was super creepy and rubbed me the wrong way. i have a relative that also wants to switch vets because of her. all of the one star reviews involve her. that should say something. thanks again !

since they deleted my review on google reviews i'll leave it here - if i could give a zero i would. i was just informed that i am not a loud to return to this establishment. i put my cat down in may. there was some issue at the time and they can't fully tell me what that issue was. the first lady i spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and wouldn't give an explanation. i called back and someone with a brain broke it down for me. in may the vet offered on her own to pay for part of the bill as i thought it was complete bullshit how much they were charging to put the animal down. as my cat was a smaller cat. putting a pet down is a very sensitive matter. they are saying my reaction to her offering to pay is why i am not aloud back.i thought she was offering to 'be kind'. i didn't know accepting this would in return would have me booted. at the time there was something very weird about her offering to pay for part of the bill. she made sure to let me know if was coming out of her pocket. because i said please thank pets first for me and she said oh no it's coming out of my pocket. she really rubbed me the wrong way like she wanted some sort of award. i'm not sure maybe it's her southern twang that led to the miss communication. but what i'm realizing now is she obviously regretted her act of kindness. she was on her high horse for sure showing off to the tech. i have a relative who also can't stand this particular vet. and has also been thinking to switching to havertown vet and this gave us the push to leave. i wouldn't return if they changed their mind and said i could come back. next time let a client know the repercussions of taking an offer that some vet offered to make herself feel good about herself for doing an act of kindness. she really is a saint ! i never had any idea this would affect me later. so unprofessional and stupid. made way more problems later. thanks again! this situation involved doctor white. if you notice on google reviews she has all the one star reviews. maybe she is the problem !!! thanks again !!

Everyone at this clinic has gone out of their way for my dogs and I really appreciate it. They will rearrange their schedule to fit us in if one of the dogs is sick and needs to be seen right away. Dr. Heyde and the staff are so caring and they are great with my dogs. I appreciate the quality of thorough care my dogs receive here and the prices are reasonable too. I am grateful for finding this practice and will definitely continue to bring my dogs here.

Dr. White misinterpreted my dog's urine cultures and did not give her the most effective antibiotics based on the data. This resulted in recurrent UTIs in my greyhound and referrals to specialists because she started having neurological symptoms from the UTIs (more common in elderly dogs). The other vets in the practice never looked at her original results and kept prescribing the same medication. I took her to another vet (Dutton Road) and they read her urine culture results correctly, put her on the right antibiotics, and the UTI cleared up in a few days for good. When I emailed the practice about this, they never responded.
