I had some Pontiac 455 cylinder heads redone here with Paul. He was very communicative and had them done in less than two weeks.

This place does so many things it's hard to describe it exactly. They are a machine shop a power generation shop a metal shop and an auto shop. They will rebuild the engine in your antique car or your industrial earth mover. They are fantastic at rust remediation. They took my rusted Toyota Tacoma and made it brand new. If it's mechanical and it's broken take it here for fixing!

My truck has been there for over two years. The engine work was said to be under warranty since they machined and built the lower end. If it was a lower end issue they told me they would just take care of it. Here we are… two years later, my trucks condition has completely deteriorated, and they blame their slow movement on Covid and staffing. Quite frankly I don’t even begin to fathom how they would do this. I do not have the funds to have it transported to another shop then taken apart and brought to them for the work. I’m between a rock and a hard place and they have done ZERO to get my truck done except just say “Dave is gonna look at it this week”. Well either Dave is blind or he’s looking at the wrong truck. They do good work, they’re a busy shop. But my money is as good as anyone else’s and I have been completely mistreated. The staff is nice and jimmy in the machine shop is great. But this is just a really really bad experience.

Met the owner Dave and he's a cool guy showed me around the shop and he has some cool cars he's doing . So if you need a engine or general repair he's your man.

Full disclosure: I did not have work done because of the cost / value ratio on the vehicle and job. I have called 5 different shops about a engine for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. Every other call was met with scoffs or "that job isn't worth our time." When I called Mardinly, I was greeted by a delightful woman who assured me that "this is what they do!" I gave her my information. A few hours later, I received a call from Jim who gave me the estimate and actually explained what would need to be done and why the price was quoted where it was. Ultimately, we decided that the cost wasn't justifiable on a 22yo vehicle, but I will gladly recommend Mardinly to anyone who needs this kind of work done.

Very poor communication. Car had to be brought back multiple times to get right and was never completed properly. I had to take the loss and fix myself due to them breaking something every time they worked on it. Ignition switch was jammed ,Steering wheel was loose twice. Broke relay brackets under hood and just left relays flopping around. Missing piece off steering column and more. I couldn't get a call back ever. I called and called no answer, so I drove right over and they were all there in the office ignoring My calls. It could be a nice place but not run like that.
