“Absolutely LOVE this location. My wife and I visit every couple of weeks. The employees are always very helpful and knowledgeable. The selection is very impressive, especially their manga/graphic novel section. They also have a decent size board game section. With the ever-dwindling selection of independent book stores, Barnes and Noble does its best to fill the gap and provide a clean, quiet book store.”

“A nice little shop and cafe to visit while at Valley Forge or visiting Washington Memorial Chapel. The store has a variety of gift items, including several that fit a homemade aesthetic. The cafe has sandwiches, snacks, and sweet treats to enjoy, as well as hot and cold beverages.Parking is available at the Washington Chapel lot, and there is a bicycle rack near the store entrance. The area seems safe; we didn't lock our bikes while in the store and left our helmets on our bikes.”

“Books Through Bars does excellent work in sending free book packages to inmates in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. They're completely volunteer-run & host volunteering sessions for people to help pick/pack books. Volunteer organizers are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend volunteering there! You can just drop in & spend 30 minutes or a few hours, whatever you like. Whenever I volunteer there, it feels like I'm really making a difference in someone's life -- because I am. It's an eye-opening experience that gives me a new perspective. Books Through Bars also takes donations (money, books they need, supplies) so there are lots of ways to support them even if you can't make it down there in person.”

“I absolutely adore this store and have been a frequent shopper since we moved to the area last year. The staff are AMAZING! They are so sweet and accommodating and hugely helpful when finding books or toys. I buys all of my kids toys here and they LOVE this store. The selection is incredible and perfectly curated to have wonderful options for everyone (especially diverse selection of POC authors!). The owner is fantastic and has saved us TWICE when my son left his lovey in her store. She knows my name and is so kind every time we go. Honestly nothing beats supporting this incredible local business. This sweet women even put his lovey in a bag with my name on it when she found it because she recognize that it was my sons. 100 stars ?”

“I love this shop. Small town throwback with a great selection and curated segments to browse should you be interested. A really nice section on music and musicians in the back. Overall you'll find interesting selections. If you are unfamiliar, Narberth is a super cozy shopping district. This store has the proverbial squeaky door to open and well worn floors to walk.”

“Field of Dead Horses Nick Allen Brown Harrowood Books Publisher 3943 N. Providence Road, Newton Square, PA 19073 [email protected] 610-353-5585 978-0-915180-24-0 $16.99...333 pages Sandra Heptinstall Sometimes as a reviewer, you may get a book that starts out slow and then book gains momentum and your interest as it goes along. Then there can be books that get you from the first page. This book got me from the start. Elliott Chapel owns a horse farm that his father had started. His dad Paul Chapel was well known in the racing world. He trained thoroughbreds, but after the loss of his wife due to child birth he changed completely. His relationship with his son Elliott is complex and sad. Elliott and his farm manager Booley were out mending fences when they came upon a woman who was bloodied and beaten laying face up in the shadow waters of Penny Creek. Elliott told Booley he would go and call the Sheriff and the doctor to come out to where the woman's body lay. But Booley told Elliott it would be better if he called the people to come out. You see during the time period of this book a black man who was witty, wise and well- read was unusual. It was especially different for a black man to hold the position he did at the ranch. But to the Chapel's, Booley was family. If you like a different type of love story, or if you love horses as I do, then you will love this book. The ending left me with tears running down my face. Hold until further notice. Posted by Whispering Winds Book Reviews and Midwest Book Reviewer”

“The place can be expensive however the customer support is great. The person that was helping went above and beyond and was constantly looking and buying the books that I need. When they couldn't get a book for me they made a note so I could show the government and I had to order it online for reimbursement. Overall I am very surprised with the support.”
