“I've been with Fight Shape for over 8 years and I couldn't be happier! I'm in the best shape of my life and stronger than I've ever been. The coaches are knowledgeable and friendly. They push you to work your hardest and you will see results. The other members are super friendly and welcoming. It doesn't matter what shape you are in - there is no judgment! I do it all - large group classes, small group training, and one on one training. They offer a great variety and I can always work a workout into my schedule. I highly recommend trying it out!”

I was nervous because I have quirky things that cause some physical activity to be difficult but she was able to adapt almost everything to make sure that I was still able to do all the movements and feel super strong. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable and I never felt pressured to do more than I thought I could handle even if she thought I could handle more. I started the class with minimal weight lifting knowledge and finished today feeling both confident in weight lifting abilities and my body control in doing exercises. Her knowledge, personality, and humor made the classes fun. I'd totally recommend anyone taking the class if you need trauma informed weight lifting. If you're just looking for a great coach at a weight lifting gym... she's also your girl.”

The flexible schedule is great and it's easy to register through the app. But most importantly, my son is getting stronger and gaining confidence which translates to his other sports. “I have been a member of OTF Ardmore since last August. I needed a way to stay in shape and lose weight consistently, in addition to meeting new people. After my free class, I was hooked! The one hour classes are tough, but the variability in templates each time I come makes class fun and worth it. Even the special days/benchmark workouts are another bonus since I get to see my progress and compete with others in a friendly way. The staff and coaches are very friendly from the moment you first walk into the front desk to the 1:1 coaching feedback I receive during my workouts. I give this studio a 10/10 and would recommend OTF to anyone willing to try!!”

1516 Chester Pike, Folcroft“With a small parking lot and small facility, you might be able to socialize but you might be coming in just to work out and then leaving as in pretty much any place. This place is cash only and let's you pay lump sum and will waive enrollment fee if so. More places are starting to offer the lump sum option now instead of me having to ask for it. I was looking for a gym for one month but it is tough because either I am paying an enrollment fee AND one month which isn't worth it at all, or I pay by the class and some places have very limited hours. I could probably do Planet again or even Orange Theory but I was hoping to find a more local place. If this place was a closer commute for me, it would be worth it for me to sign up for a year. I want a self paced place since most places are either you get pushed and if you take a break or go too slow, you have to leave or are asked what is wrong with you. Everyone has different needs and wants. Or I do not have a budget for a personal trainer and some of the ones I have had at chain gyms are really particular about who they want to work with, and paying in full beforehand is not always enough sadly. I have a gym reimbursement fund but I have used it up for the year and that is a factor that is important to me too. At the end of the day, I understand that part of a gym experience (for me) is picking a place that will not overly stress me out. Accessibility and getting for what I paid's worth and all the peculiarities are important to me. You can't get 24-7 access unless you pay for a full year. This was probably the biggest clincher for me. Also as it is a small community atmosphere gym, holiday hours are not necessarily reflected on signs and website. You just have to ask or make it work. It is also cash only. 12/22/23 addition: When I first came to ask about enrollment options during hours, they were closed early for that and I got an announcement through the Ring bell to come back the next day, which thankfully I could. When I came back the next day, I was told a little story about how a "bum" came up one time just fiddling around with the door like nobody's business. Then, when the owner spoke through the Ring bell, the "bum" thought Jesus had spoken to him and he behaved himself after that! The joy of technology!! In my opinion, this is a good gym choice if you want a self paced workout and can pay in full for the year for the 24-7 access. Also, if you aren't looking for something that has a clean and polished look, which I don't need but I am open to either way, this is a good choice.”
“My four year Anniversary is coming up with working out at Customized Phitness and it's the best decision I have ever made. Thanks to Marcus, I am in the best physical shape I think I have ever been in and the smallest I've been since before having children. He cares about the whole person as seen with the passion he has for fitness and nutrition. Marcus is happy to share this knowledge with whoever wants to listen and better themselves. I never would have thought I'd say this but I hate when life or work get in the way and I have to miss a morning at the gym. I highly recommend you come join us! Great people, clean facility, never the same workout, good for all fitness levels and with one of the best trainer's out there!”

The equipment is top notch, (mostly Rogue), the environment is great, powerlifting friendly, has some machines & a boxing ring with trainers. I believe it’s 24/7 access if you pay extra for a key card, which is another plus. I’ve never signed up because I live too far to come everyday, but I would 100% sign up if you’re looking for a good local gym. The only thing I could say it needs is some upgrades, like some light fixtures or some new machine equipment. That’s all.”

“This place is so much more than a gym. And it truly lives up to its name. The Legion has transformed me. Forget about the fact that I’ve lost over 25 pounds since I started going there in April 2021, and forget about the fact that I have become stronger than I ever thought I could be, this place has given me a new sense of community a sense of belonging somewhere and has made me proud of myself. The coaches are phenomenal. They are patient when they need to be and tough when it matters. They are all incredibly knowledgeable about strength training and physical fitness and have coached me through ups and downs along the way. I was injured on vacation this past summer and the coaches went out of their way to provide me with alternative workouts to make sure that I still felt like a member of this group. That meant so much to me and you don’t find that other places. They really do care. I think the best thing about Legion is that it is a “come as you are “kind of place, which was best said by another member. If you are an incredible athlete, this place is for you. If you are just starting out and are at level zero, this place is also for you. It takes all shapes and sizes and fitness levels and everyone is welcome and will leave feeling happy yet exhausted. “I wish there was another Zumba class during the week on Wednesday around 545 like before. I love Kali Zumba class on Monday. Tracy aerobic classes on Tues and Thurs are awesome! And Zumba Sat Morning with Michelle will definitely get your heart rate up. It's never too crowded and the machines I use are usually available or don't have a long wait. Overall I would recommend”
