“I love going to this state store! There are always many options to choose from. It is well stocked, clean, and organized. Their employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and seem to enjoy their job. The prices are clearly marked and the offer a great deal of sales. I haven't tried it yet, but there is also a wine tasting section of the store. Added bonus- Plenty of parking in a well lite lot.”

50 Greenfield Ave Suite 56C, Ardmore“This guy's got a nice selection of beers. If you don't see something you want ask the guys behind the counter. If they don't have it let them recommend something similar”
“By far the best beer selection in Montgomery County! Not only do they have an insane variety of craft beers they have the most knowledgeable staff to inform you on each of those beers.I drive out of my way because I value their opinion on beers I'm looking to purchase.”
“I've been here on and off over the years but have become more regular over the past 6-8 months. I can't say that I know for sure if and when the business changed hands but it has improved since past visits. First, the shelves are organized and stocked. It is not huge so in addition to the usual space hoards (Miller lite, Bud light, Claw) they have a few types of ciders, some rows where you'll find Bell's and other smaller brew stuff and recently surprised to see Maine Brewing Peeper offered. Staff is attentive and building is just in better aesthetic shape.”
10AM - 9PM
218 Lancaster Ave, Wayne“Awesome selection of everything beer and cider.Hard to find beers and rare seasonals.Heady Topper appears here a few times a year along with other sought after beers.Knowledgeable staff...much better than the super market beer aisle. Also check out the bargain area...Buy local at this place.”
9:30AM - 9:30PM
5042B West Chester Pike, Newtown Square“I was driving back from WC and noticed the sign. I pulled in and saw the lights were out and by chance Prasad saw me in his cameras and opened his door. It was about closing time. He turned the lights on so I could get some beer. He had shut the systems (as anyone would do close to closing) so I said hey let’s do Venmo and we chatted while I brought it up on my phone and had some laughs. Truly an awesome guy. He could’ve easily said we’re closed and I would’ve been on my way. The store is huge and has a ton of domestic and foreign brews and booze. Give Prasad a shout if you see him. Solid man.”
“Big store and selection with a great staff. The location is what kills this place. They compete for parking with Marshall's and it's a super high traffic area. The store itself is also very busy since it services Conshohocken and the surrounding area. The location is no better than when it was on Ridge. Be careful in the parking lot, some bargain hunter in a Saturn is likely to drive through three spots and smash into your car. The people driving between stores also don't stop at the cross walk. This whole shopping center is basically a nightmare now.”
“Fresh imported beer! I don't know how many times I've bought imported beer from other locations that tastes like soy sauce or cardboard. This is the real deal! I'm especially impressed by the selection of British imports.”
“They always have a great beer selection and always have new beers on hand. When I’m unsure of what I want, they’re always able to assist me in finding what I’m looking for – whether it’s a style, a flavor, or a brand. They’re knowledgeable and generally great. Best beer store in burgh.??”
“This is a “premium collection” location which is larger and has more selection/niche items compared to a regular FW&GS location. The employees that I regularly see working there are really nice. However on my last visit, I did have an employee that I didn’t recognize following me around as I picked out my items. That experience was a bit off putting but it was the first time I noticed being treated that way. They did have Ocean Vodka, Everclear, and Wagner Riesling wine that I was seeking. I’m using the Vodka and Everclear for Vanilla bean extracts which I am very excited about.”

314 Old Lancaster Rd, Merion Station“Staff is extremely knowledgeable about wines. They have an excellent selection at great prices. They will help you find exactly what you're looking for. His new location is very convenient and the store is clean, bright, and products are well laid out. I wouldn't go anywhere else for Kosher wines!”
“Visited the other day and great selection of beer! They not only have cases of beer but a really good selection/variety of 6pks of IPA craft beers and other beers well. The pricing was good too. Friendly service, will definitely make this my go to beer spot from here on.”
“Even during the madness of the holidays, the store was clean and well stocked. I do wish there was a better selection of premium spirits. There are so many more places to purchase wine these days that I wish the state stores would focus more on spirits.”
“fair prices, great selection. went in with nothing particular in mind, but left with 3 cases. it's your average beer distributor, so take bad reviews with a grain of salt. my new go to place.”
“Javies has THE COLDEST beer in town. I pass 2 other distributors to go there. They have it all! Friendly staff always willing to help and are good with a chat if you like that. They have a rewards/frequent flier card you can get and earn point toward future purchases. Need I say more? TD.”
“It's larger than it looks inside then the view of the building from Lancaster Ave. Quite a nice selection too. Will come back more often now that I know it's conveniently located nearby. I actually had to look out for the Mavis Tires next door to know when to turn since the only signage outside is on the building, which can be hard to see while traveling on Lancaster Ave. If they can place a sign outside on the lawn perpendicular to Lancaster Ave, it might be easier to see it's there.”
“Being from out of state and not familiar with this place I can honestly say that the worker went above and beyond the call of duty to help me select a few good IPA beers. Store was laid out well and everything was easy to find.”
“I stopped by on Friday afternoon for a beer and a snack. because it was a little chilly outside, I opted for the French Onion Soup. I've been ordering French Onion Soup for 50 years and nowadays most places throw a little cheese on that looks like it's floating in the broth. I normally ask them to brown the cheese well but i forgot this time. Much to my surprise, what came out had lots of gooey cheese baked onto the outside of the bowl. It took me a while just to pick it all off. It was also well browned. Although the broth could use a little more flavor, it was the best French Onion Soup I had had in a while. The beer was pretty good too. The server gave me several tastes before I decided which one to get. All in all a nice experience.”
“Awesome service and the owners knows my order when I walk (Not Sure if thats a good thing lol) and greets me like a friend. I love this place. Grab a Slushi while your there.?”
“The manager Paul is very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He always helps me find whatever I'm looking for and gives me suggestions for something else if his store happens to be out of it or is discontinued.”
“This local small state store is perfect. It is right in the neighborhood with quick in and out. They are helpful and professional and always greet you immediately and ask if you need help. You can order ahead and they will bring items to your car if you prefer not to go in.”
“New owners are great. Welcoming and pleasant. The old owners were rude and mean. So glad the new staff are very welcoming to people who don't look like them. Pleasant experience.Thank you new owners!”
11AM - 5:30PM
222 Bala Ave, Bala Cynwyd“The woman running the store was very helpful! She is very honest and lovely to work with. The only place I will go to for my Judaica needs. She helped us find a way to do something special with our wedding broken glass that we found very creative!”
11AM - 10:30PM
6148 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia“I go to the foodery often! So many drink selections and for way cheaper than anywhere else that sells beers, etc. Also kind of a fan of the store in the back, I just wish the aisles and shelves were labeled in English, all their products as packaged in a different language.”
“Owner works here...always acknowledges me and makes me aware of new products. I like that plus products are well refrigerated and priced much lower than surrounding distributors.”
“A little smaller than some others in the area but they have a super wine room in the back. Everyone is quite knowledgeable and very very nice! It always seems like they're having a good time in there! It's clean and well organized - there is ! Couple of things I've needed that they haven't had in 6 months but hey...no biggie I suppose!! Cheers!”
11AM - 7:30PM
1120 Bridge Rd, Creamery“Awesome place! It’s the only store I’ll buy beer from. The owners are always friendly and there’s so much selection. I’ve never left empty handed, and I’ve always been able to find beers I can’t find anywhere else. Very reasonable prices and amazing people working there.”
“Have you ever wanted to get something extra special for your extra special friend? At FW&GS (*premium edition*), you can! Very clean store. To use bathroom, you would need to ask for key. Free wine tasting Fridays 4-6pm.”
9AM - 8PM
1111 West Chester Pike, Havertown“This place is amazing! The customer service is always on point, and they have a huge selection even of gluten-free and NA products! Don’t waste your time at any of the Other area stores.”
“Great food, even better atmosphere, but horrible service. Server had to come back three times to tell us that they were out of things that we ordered (apps and drinks). By the third time we gave up on the apps and ordered soup instead. The soups came out at the same time as our meals, though, so we had to decide which one to let go cold while we ate the other. It's a shame, because the food tasted great, was more than fairly priced, and the guitarist playing music was spectacular. Am hoping that it was just an off night, and with everything else so good I am definitely willing to give them another shot. On a separate note, and this is more about OpenTable than the restaurant, but we specifically searched for a restaurant that offered outdoor seating. This was a completely enclosed patio that had garage style doors open. Was far from being "outside."”
