“I like it. The staff and employees are friendly. I am the only English speaking employee on that shift. They all speak Spanish. I work second shift making $16.25 an hour folding clothes and putting them into bags. There is light computer work and we check for imperfections. We get 2 ten minute breaks paid and 1 thirty minute lunch unpaid. I work 3:30-midnight. It is boring..boring..boring but I challenge myself by trying to fold perfectly and exceeding goals.”

“This is going to be a long review but I really want to cover my bases.Work here 40 hours a week and over all, not a bad place to work (work in both picking and dock departments as a standard tier 1 position). Starting pay of $15 as with all of Amazon though due to the area its actually slightly higher and will go up over time (not really worth mentioning now as I have little intent on constantly updating this). Pay goes up based on years you've worked with it going up about $0.75 on average per year plus you get more time off. You also get extra incentives to work odd shifts. Night shift and swing shift is $0.83, night shift with the full weekend is $1.05, though not certain on donut shift. Day shift has no incentives unless you work full weekends. There is also a really odd shift mainly designed as extras (though it's considered part time so no insurance offered). Not sure what they call it but basically they are only required to work 20 hours an entire month and can come in basically whenever they want as much as they want (as long as they don't pass the 60 hours a week building rule for all employees). Though they use a work call in system for it. Where available days will be added to their calendar and they can accept them. Great for if you are older or just want a second job.We get two breaks that are 15 minutes and one 30 minute lunch break. Though with that being said, this is a physical labor job so you will need it.Picking is a very active position where you basically have to be on the move at all time. Right now due to covid rates are not being tracked but when they were you were required to make at least 125 units an hour on average for the day. You get a strike each day you miss and 3 strikes within the same month of the last and your fired. That sounds like a reason to drop the rating, but they have been more fair starting around July last year where instead of all missing rate getting hit only the bottom 5% will and its not even a strike anymore, just coaching. If you continue to be at the bottom though they offer to retrain you if you wish to stay. That seems incredibly fair from how it worked before. Overall picking is fine, though it is incredibly boring and it does kill your feet. You basically walk nearly 20 miles in a day so best invest in good shoes.Currently I mainly work in the docking department which is a bit more involved and different every day. On the dock we have around 9 different positions that people bounce between so you can have a different experience if you get bored of what you've been doing. Most of them are more demanding on the upper body though vs picking which is mainly just walking. Though note you will never get a box more than 50 pounds due to OSHA and on average I'd say most aren't even 10 and more around 5. It will be said though they don't usually hire people directly to that position though so if you were hoping to work there, best just do what everyone else does and start as a picker and get a transfer.Time off is a bit different here than most jobs, basically it's the dream system. There is UPT (unpaid time), PTO (paid time off), vacation, and VTO (voluntary time off). UPT is used by the hour and you only get 20 hours each quarter to use when you want. If you need to quick leave work or just want to go that's your way, just you don't get paid. PTO can also be used whenever you want but as implied you get paid as if you worked. It also can be used down to the minute so you don't waste a whole hour if you only missed punching in by a few minutes. You gain more every 2 weeks till the end of June so don't waste it all in the first half. Vacation is identical to PTO but with the exception it needs to be approved by HR or your manager and must be put in at least 24 hours in advance. Lastly VTO is basically a wild card where on slow days they offer to let people who sign up go home without using their time. You aren't required to take it though so don't let it bother you much. Was long but needed to explain eve”
