Great location, great food! Most importantly an amazing staff! Greg and Morgan went above and beyond for our entire stay. The other members of their team were awesome. Definitely a place worth visiting.

We just went to the barn for dinner but walked around the grounds before dinner which are beautiful. The only negative I would say is the pool area. The pool was absolutely filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The bathrooms at the pool were also closed. Not good for those who have little children. I was surprised there aren’t any swings hung between trees down towards the creek, which would be a great place for a few.Other than that we had a great dinner.
Food & drinks: Great food at the Barn restaurant

It was the first time my husband and I took his mom out to brunch since the pandemic. We were excited for things to feel “normal” again.
We all left pretty disappointed.
For $50/person, I expected that the food would at least not run out, that there would be basic condiments available, and that there would be plates to put my food on, never mind about the quality of the food served for the price we paid.
Food repeatedly ran out due to the fact that there was no staggered seating and everyone queued at 11:05, quickly draining the buffet line. There were several times when the plates were nowhere in site, causing me to have to carry them from the kitchen to the tables to refill it for people since the servers were clearly overwhelmed. The maple syrup ran out so the waffles had to be eaten dry. There was no salt or pepper, or ketchup for the potatoes. The ketchup arrived 40 minutes into the meal. The bar was not operating for mimosas while we waited for food. There was no hot water for tea.

I am amending my review a bit.
We ate at the Barn last night. The food was excellent.
Upon hearing about a wasp nest we had in our doorway the General Manager took care of it himself. He also has gone out of his way to make sure the last part of our time here was better than the first. He explained that the pool was closed because of a leak and had breakfast delivered to us this morning.
The fishing has been great.
We are staying at the Allenberry now. They are supposed to have a wonderful place for breakfast. We wouldn’t know. No breakfast service the 2 mornings we have been here. The pool isn’t open. I had to call 2times to have housekeeping vacuum up the dog hair from the past guests. The soap and hair from the last guest in the bathtub. Every time we use the toaster it sets off the fire alarm. The sticky buns I paid 30.00 for yesterday afternoon had ants in them this morning.
I had a nice time at the Longevity Center but it is expensive.
It has not been a good experience.

Brooke Hoover and Chris Arnold were BEYOND GREAT and went out of their way to make it nice for us!! My parents and I met halfway for Easter but we made the decision to do so at the last minute. We couldn’t get a table in the restaurant and the bartenders were ignoring us so Brooke and Chris jumped into action, got us food and made sure we were taken care of and turned it all around for us! My Dad has dementia and Brooke and her husband spent time talking to him while we were waiting for food after the 6 hour drive here.Greg, the General Manager, is the bomb! I just love him! He checked us in and made us feel special from the get go, made us feel like family and also just went above and beyond. He’s GREAT! James and Joy in The Breeches Cafe are also a pure delight! My parents and I had a wonderful weekend together! Food & drinks: Spent a LOT in food and drinks and Ryan was a jerk. Brooke & Chris saved the day.

I hosted a company dinner there this past weekend in their map room and the service (Becka) food, drink and overall experience could not be better. I do these dinner on a semi-annual basis and my entire staff said this was the best one we have ever had. Ten star worthy, we will be back this summer!Food & drinks: We had the filet medalions and crab cakes as well as the tuna and brussle sprouts starts, amazing all around

We went there tonight for the first time. The food was ok but extremely over priced for the very small portion. We actually left there and stopped elsewhere for food on the way home because we were still hungry after a very expensive meal. First and last time we will go here.

A friend and I went for lunch in the Allenberry Cafe. I ordered a chicken sandwich. It arrived wrapped in aluminum foil which I thought was strange since we were eating in. As soon as I opened it, I knew why. It was a slippery mess of melted cheese and soggy bread that I couldn't pick up, and I couldn't cut through the roll with a knife to eat it in pieces. The waitress said there was a new chef. So, no lunch for me, and no apologies.

Came here for thanksgiving buffet… It was way overpriced for what it was and very crowded. We were standing outside in the cold for 25 minutes waiting to get inside. Then, we went to the buffet to get food to find out they were temporarily out of mashed potatoes. No problem, we moved down the line and got the rest of our plate. By the time we were able to get back in line for the mashed potatoes, however, it had been refilled and re-emptied by the overcrowded restaurant. After waiting to get the mashed potatoes, our food was cold. In addition, some of the food was just served cold! Very upsetting for the price of the restaurant. I hope someone reads this and decides not to book a Thanksgiving dinner here. Have a Happy Thanksgiving at home with family instead! :)

We were there for the Thanksgiving day buffet. For $80 we were very disappointed and most likely not be back. It's been awhile since we were there and I now understand that there are new owners. Previously there was a much better selection( I remember smoked salmon) on the buffet with sliced ham and turkey NOT SHREDDED. They also had cinnamon buns on the desert table that were very popular previously which you sell at the front desk for a ridiculous price for such a small bun (half the size of a Cinnabon). The coffee was good.

The room was to die for. Very Spaces. All I have to say is that whoever made my chicken ceaser salad it was awesome. Though the sides were a little blacken but other than that, it was Superb. Also, whoever made my vodka and redbull was good. Kudos to both of them.Rooms: Very nice rooms.Food & drinks: The chicken ceaser salad is awesome.

I rarely write reviews - only when I'm absolutely disgusted by a business or absolutely blown away. In this case I couldn't wait to write a review in the hopes it helps Allenberry to market itself because it is by far one of the most incredible places I've ever been, and I've been to many of the worlds nicest places. I think the only place in the world that matches Allenberry when it comes to hospitality, service, kindness is Kyoto in Japan where service is seen as sacred. There is something sacred about Allenberry not only in this sense - but in terms of the place itself is a little slice of Heaven. The environment is gorgeous, the property and all its spaces are clean and stunning, the rooms are spotless and luxurious and comfortable. The food is delicious. But it is truly the people who make this place so special. Never in my life in America have I been blessed with so much kindness and care. We had some pretty big hurdles as travelers moving from north to south with all our things and the staff treated us like family. Thank you so much Greg, Paul and everyone else for making Allenberry a place we happily bought hoodies to represent. I can't wait to run into someone who sees it and says "you've been to Allenberry!?" I feel that this place attracts special people and magical moments and I can't wait to go back. We will definitely spend a night here every year as we travel back and forth to see family. Theirs and ours :) if it's this beautiful when the leaves have totally fallen off the trees and the snow has yet to fall I can't even imagine how it looks with a blanket of snow or in full bloom or colored autumn. On my way out a woman who grew up in the area stopped in to buy 4 boxes of their sticky buns which she said have been perfect since she was a kid. She was on her way to visit a dying friend to bring them to her and other family and friends. She insisted on buying me some to eat with my fiancé. I just couldn't believe it! This place is pure magic. God Bless what's left of this kind of America.

Allenberry was a one stop shop for our dreamy October wedding. From the space we used for our reception (Carriage Room) to the food, to the accommodations, to the amazing customer service we could not be happier. Our guests were raving about our wedding and I have to thank Jenna, Ian, and Greg for paying attention to every detail.
