Willow & Thistle was the in house florist and design team at my wedding venue; Normandy Farm.I honestly booked them based on convenience, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I made. Communication with Jen was amazing and they turned the Grand Ballroom into the Moody Christmas wedding of my dreams.

Willow & Thistle did the florals for my wedding, and they were absolutely phenomenal! They sent me pictures of my gorgeous bouquets two days before the wedding, and delivered them right on time the day of. All of the florals that they provided were high quality and absolutely stunning!

Our wedding was in May 2023, so it;s taken me a few months to decide if I wanted to leave a review or not. I relied on a lot of reviews when planning my own wedding, so I decided to leave this review and explain why I would not recommend hiring Willow and Thistle for your big day. We originally hired them because they were listed as a preferred vendor from our venue (Bluestone). A year and half later, our wedding came around and we learned that W&T was no longer the preferred florist for our venue. This now makes a lot of sense.Communication was extremely lacking. We had a somewhat longer engagement, so I understand there isn’t much to discuss for the majority of the duration. However, whenever I had questions, I had to send multiple emails to receive any responses. I never received any invoices unless I specifically asked. I had to ask a few times to be sent the form to make my final payment. (Why should I have to ASK to pay someone?). When it came time to do our final meeting before the big day, it felt incredibly rushed. We were in and out of there in no more than 5 minutes and it left me feeling a little uneasy, but I trusted the process.I was asked to provide a phone number for our emergency contact person, someone other than the bride/groom, so that if there were issues on the day of, we wouldn’t need to be bothered. We appointed my maid of honor as our contact person. The day before the wedding, W&T sent a previow photo of my bridal bouquet to my maid of honor for approval, instead of sending it to me. A simple mistake I guess, but still frustrating when running around the day before your wedding. Although the flowers were beautiful and in great shape, I was disappointed at how small my bouquet turned out to be when seeing it in person the next morning. Simply put, it did not feel like $300 worth of flowers. I didn’t mention it at the time as it was a busy morning, and I acknowledge that. But the more I looked at it, the more I realized how small it was. When we had our initial meeting, we had seen a beautiful vintage couch they had onsite available for rental. We decided then that we would rent it for the day-of to use for photos and our sweetheart table seating. Fast forward to our final meeting, I was hoping we’d get to see the couch again just to confirm it was the one we wanted (this did not happen). On the day of, the team dropped off not a couch, but a small chair only big enough to sit one person. As if that wasn’t frustrating enough, they refused to talk to my maid of honor (contact person) while my husband and I were taking pictures, and instead kept insisting they needed to talk to the bride. What was the point of having a contact person at all??W&T did come by our venue with two couch options to show us, neither one was the original couch or anything close to it. I appreciate them trying to make it right, however, they took back the small chair, both couches, and still kept the $250 that we paid for the couch, despite the fact that it wasn’t used (or provided). If anything, they should have verified at our final meeting which couch we had signed up for. This was the one thing that went wrong on our wedding day, and for that I am grateful, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth regarding our choice in florist. In all, I feel like what we received was not worth what we spent. The quality of the flowers was great. The arrangements and candles were beautiful and achieved our vision for the ceremony/reception. However, I think the stress of working with W&T was just not worth it. It was clear why our venue (who we LOVED) no longer prefers them.(pictured: chair in the background and small bouquet)

We used Willow & Thistle for florals and rentals for our April 2023 wedding at Normandy Farm. We didn't have a specific look in mind, and W&T delivered on the most beautiful bridal flowers. They were very easy to work with, and very reasonably priced. They also provided chiavari chair rentals, which I highly recommend as it absolutely elevated our reception decor and experience. The team at W&T is incredibly talented, and I am so happy we chose them for such an important day!

We loved using Willow and Thistle for our wedding in February. They really were able to capture the vision I saw with the wedding bouquets. Great communication. Flowers were a little pricey for the quantity, but I attribute this to some flowers not being in season. Overall, a great experience.

We used Willow and Thistle for our wedding in July. The centerpieces and bridal bouquet were nice, but the arch was absolutely nothing that I asked for. The arch looked so bare, and the flowers that were arranged on the arch did not match any of the other florals. So disappointed in the price I paid and the result I received.

Willow and Thistle did a beautiful job on my personal flowers for our wedding and helped me stay on budget and still achieve what I wanted for our centerpieces. They were very professional and easy to work with!

We used them for our wedding. The bouquets and boutonnières were perfect. However, the centerpieces at the reception did not look at all like the picture I showed them. I was very disappointed. I have attempted to talk to them about it but they have no answered my email or returned my voicemail.

Willow and Thistle were a pleasure to work with! They answered all of our questions in the planning process, helped us make decisions that fit in our budget and were flexible when I miscounted centerpieces and forgot that my cake design needed a floral decoration. They were a recommended vendor onsite at our venue (Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center) and had all of our bridal party flowers delivered to our suites for us, set up our flowers at our church and took care of our center pieces set up in our reception room. This was truly a stress free experience and our flower arrangements turned out BEAUTIFULLY! They did an excellent job hearing our vision and bringing it to life. I would recommend Willow & Thistle to everyone!

I’ve debated and debated writing this review since I was refunded some money, however my bill was over $2,000 and the lack of what was provided certainly warrants a review. Buyer be ware! I paid $650 alone for an arch that would have greenery, pampas grass, and flowers in the upper left hand quadrant. The first picture is what they provided. Had I not been outside getting pictures that’s what would’ve been left. After numerous calls the coordinator got ahold of someone and was told they forgot to put the flowers on. The florist forgot to put the flowers on….their one job. They did come back and put a few flowers on however it was nothing like I pictured. They used fake pampas grass that looked more like feathers than anything. Again I debated on writing this review as I was refunded $350. But the one item that I really wanted honestly looked terrible. After the refund I still spent over $2000 for something I genuinely don’t think should’ve been valued at that price. (Bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 or 7 boutonnières, flowers for flower girls and a strand of eucalyptus on the tables) Do I wish I went with another florist….absolutely. Do I feel bamboozled…..yes.

Willow & Thistle hit it out of the park! We got married at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, PA. Steven Letendre and Jen Murphy were extremely professional and talented starting from the early planning session to the day of execution. We were able to organize all of the floral details remotely and, thanks to Kim, we got a sneak peek of the nearly finished arrangements a few days before. Willow & Thistle coordinated table centerpieces (orchids suspended in water with candles on top), gorgeous bouquets & pocket boutonnieres, floral garlands, and special memorial pieces. And, by the end of the night, the flowers still looked fresh. We highly recommend Steve, Jen, and their team for your wedding event!

My daughter was supposed to have her wedding May 2020, but due to the pandemic, it was postponed to July and then to August. She paid Willow and Thistle to put I use the flowers. She finally decided to just get married in her back yard with no flowers and only immediate family. Willow and Thistle had refused to refund ANY of the money. They did NOTHING for that money! They hadn’t grown the flowers yet, bought them yet, arranged them yet or delivered them yet. And changing the date did not interfere with any other jobs they may have had. I understand small businesses were struggling, but my daughter is a nurse and works long, hard hours, especially during a pandemic. They should have at least returned half of the money. Don’t use this company! They only care about themselves in a time of crisis! If I could give them ZERO stars, I would have!

My fiancé and I are getting married in 2022 and scheduled a virtual consult to see if Willow and Thistle was right for us. Right off the bat the gentleman we met with seemed extremely arrogant and disinterested and was not taking charge of the meeting (explaining how the process goes, pre planned questions) so my fiancé and I were then scrambling with things to ask even though we had to base of knowledge to go from. We had only a small idea of what we we looking for and due to that there was a lot of awkward dead space since he wasn’t guiding the conversation and therefore he seemed as though he was judging us for not knowing all of what we wanted. It was wild. He made me feel uncomfortable and dumb. Also we kept asking what was included in our package with the venue, a question he never actually answered he just kept quoting us higher and higher numbers after asking what we wanted flowers for (chairs, center pieces, etc) it was a 20 min meeting at most and after my fiancé closed the laptop we looked at each other and said “nope” we will not be doing business with these folks, ever.

My daughter, Lauren, had a credit from Willow and Thistle since she had to cancel her wedding on 8/1/20 due to covid-19. I contacted Steve and asked if I could use the credit for a baby shower I was planning for her. I also sent 2 photos of arrangements I was hoping to have made for her Halloween themed baby shower. I asked that 8 arrangements be made. Steve and his folks obliged and made the 8 arrangements. At the last minute I called Steve and asked for 2 more for a total of 10 arrangements. Again, Steve obliged and his folks made 10 beautiful flower arrangements which were perfect in every way. The vases, flowers (orange roses) and rest of the arrangements were absolutely beautiful and met my expectations in every way. They were delivered on time (in the rain) and taken into the restaurant for me. Thanks so much Steve to you and your folks for helping to make Lauren’s baby shower perfect. I highly recommend this business and would definitely use them again. 5 Stars
