I had been a patient at this practice for almost 20 years. Since the original doctors have all left, the care has been terrible. When my PCP left, I was told that I was now considered a new patient (despite having been a patient for 20 years there). Because I was a "new patient" I would not be able to be seen for 3 or more months because the current doctors didn't have any new patient openings. When I have been able to be seen, I have been misdiagnosed (twice) and given inappropriate medications. One time I saw a Doctor and she did not examine me at all--but when I reviewed the note in my chart, there was a complete physical examination done on me. It's a shame to see what has happened to this practice.

Been coming here for years. Came in to leave a urine specimen and they made me take a seat and fill out forms. Then I sat for 1/2 hr. Seriously, it was terrible. Many of their drs have left or are leaving since Jefferson took over.

Three of the five doctors are leaving soon. Who knows who will replace them. I am following my primary to her new practice. I am unacquainted with the two doctors who are staying. In the last few years, Jefferson has lost my urologist, vascular surgeon, and neurologist. Jefferson can't seem to hold onto former Einstein doctors.

Dr. Zeitzer is extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I have never met a doctor like her and would never recommend her to anyone. During the appointment she was yelling and was extremely condescending and unprofessional. I was in utter shock at how she was acting and can't believe someone like her is a doctor there. I would give 0 stars if I could.

This office seems very unorganized.. the nurse practitioner didn’t seem very caring and a bit judgmental which made it hard to disclose information as a new patient. Front desk is ok but not the friendliest. I ended up switching back to my old doctor that’s an hour away.

Doctors are fantastic. But all the staff was horrible. The front desk young lady kept eating sunflower seed with bare hand and working at the same time. Answer the phone and do the paper work.and Constantly eating Sunflowerseed in her mouth. ?? with bare hand. Never washing hand. oMG.And the office is dirtier than public bathroom. Whoever is the manager deserves to be fired. I cant believe their standard for medical practice. I feel so bad for doctors who has to endure those staff members. You have more chance to catch a germ from that practice than from a public place. I wish i can upload my picture I had to take a picture of the office. Used glove was on the sink. trash was everywhere and medicine spill was not cleaned and it was all over the sink area. Horrible.

Sadly, i have to concur with all the negative reviews you see here. I have had scheduling/referral/test issues with this practice in the past, but my affinity for the doctors there kept me coming back. However, upon my most recent attempt to schedule a sick visit with either of the doctors i see at this practice, i'm told i need to wait 2-3 months to see either. A complete joke. Go elsewhere if you need to seek medical care or wait months!

I do not recommend this medical office at all. They’re clearly far more concerned with “practice protection” than patient health and well-being. Avoid.

I have been a patient at Broad Axe Family Medicine for as long as I can remember. They have progressively gotten worse and worse throughout the years, but after today I am appalled. Yesterday I requested a refill of my prescription for a ventolin inhaler (necessary to breathe with asthma), and today I received a call from the office saying that Dr. Luetke denied my refill request until I have an appointment with her. Did you seriously just deny my refill for a rescue inhaler while the air quality outside is considered dangerous? I will never ever come back here again - and I suggest that anyone who is reading this not to waste their time or money either.

I have been going to Broad Axe for the past 8 years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Luetke is my PCP and she is always kind, personable, and knowledgeable. She always listens to and address any concerns about my health I may have. I saw Alena Blain, CRNP last night with some leg pain. She was friendly, caring, and knowledgeable as well and answered all the questions I had. I felt cared for confident with my care and had an amazing experience with Alena. It is great to know there are so many amazing providers at Broad Axe!

I cannot even describe the level of incompetence. Usually I was on the phone for approximately 8 min or more to even get through to anyone!!! The office staff ( other than Ronnie) is so completely incompetent it’s unreal. It’s very sad how bad this office has gotten over the years . I’ve just had to move on , not really what I wanted but like I said the level of ineptitude has sunk to an all time low .

This office is one big joke. The doctors there aren’t concern about your health. There’s no communication whatsoever. Test results came back abnormal and they didn’t even let me know or provided me with options on how to proceed. And the customers service is terrible!

Pretty garbage tier customer service most of the time. Occasionally you may get in contact with someone competent. My previous PCP worked here and was great, but no longer does. Hopefully the new person I eventually see will be alright.

This office is ridiculous. You can’t speak to a real person. If you need a doctor you can’t get one. Is this a doctors office? So frustrating! Normally I go to urgent care instead of them. Now I need a doctor and can’t get one here. I will be changing doctors as soon as I can. Unbelievable!!!

I came to this practice via recommendation from a peer. Although I connected very well with my PCP Dr. Meredith (enough to recommend her highly to friends), I found the practice itself and its management to be highly irresponsible and frankly unethical.During the pandemic, the practice suddenly furloughed my doctor and failed to inform me. I only discovered she was not there when I called to make an appointment. Had I been hospitalized or otherwise needed urgent help, with a complex medical case, I’d have been out of luck. I had to switch my listed PCP to another physician in the practice and saw her for two appointments. My own doctor was then restored to her position until early this year when she abruptly disappeared - whether by her choice or theirs, I haven’t a clue.Either way, the practice again did absolutely nothing to inform me of her departure. I learned only by happenstance when I called about a billing problem. I had to schedule my next appointment more than a month out with the other physician I’d previously seen - only to have them then cancel that appointment just days before it.I sought another PCP and transferred my records. I am exploring reporting the practice for professional ethics violations.
