Because I spent $380 to have someone prepare my taxes for me, which I could have done myself with the software for $60, so I could get the advance on my refund, only to be denied by the 3rd party bank they use. There's no explanation as to why and I'm getting more than the maximum amount of the advance. If the money is going through them, what risk is there. No, I say it's a scam to get you to do your taxes for a lot more than it should cost. It's a shame I wasted over $300 on something I can do myself, but I'm so desperate to get this money I gambled that I could get it early. What a fool I was. Never again.
