Connected to the Farmer's Market next door you will find this place. It is kind of an extension where it is just focused on knickknack type items. You can browse there here to find items to decorate both the inside and outside of your home. Most items are handcrafted and can fit into your decor if you think hard enough. The establishment is multi storied and can take some time to make your way through it completely. There are so many things to look at in here that you can definitely lose track of time. If you were not able to find souvenirs at other nearby shops, you should be able to find something here. What's nice about it is that you can enter here through the Farmer's market next door or enter from outside. You can make it a complete experience if you do both at the same time. Grab some food, then over to here for some items that you don't necessarily need.

Great market with so much to see! When you walk in the main building you're hit with the smell of food cooking that gets the appetite charging. Either take time out for a quick bite or keep moving to see all the offerings at various booths. There's fresh meat, cheese, beef jerky, jams, jellies, noodles, pickles, salsas, mustards, fresh bread and other bakery items, oh my! That's just the beginning. Venture on and see all the gifts and hand made items. This is definitely a must see market!

From First to Craft Huge selection on two floors of boutique items that consists of candles, wood crafts and all manner of touristy gifts. None of the items seem to be handmade Amish or local artisan made, as none of the signage--or the pricing reflected as such. The lady working the counter was friendly enough and the prices are very fair. TLDR: Recommended to find some interesting gifts and souvenirs at a reasonable price.

Quality crafts being sold at Village Country Crafts, I love my purchase! When I had my barn delivered to my home 20+ years ago, it needed a little bling. I took my family to Lancaster on vacation and found the ultimate barn sign. The sign I purchased wasn't meant to be outdoors and didn't weather very well. It's now 2020 and I'm going back to Lancaster. Now I'm on a mission. I pull up to a road side store. I explain to the counterperson my barn needs some bling. She doesn't understand but shows me some flags? Then I'm told there is another store in the back that has the outdoor items I'm looking for. I walk inside to a multilevel store. I head upstairs and tell the counter person I need barn bling. A hex sign or Amish logo to promote peace and prosperity. What I really want is some Amish protections. Hey, My Corvette stays in this barn! The gentleman shows me a few wrought iron barn signs. I tell him, more hex-y. Well, I need to stay by the register but we have 5 pointed stars downstairs. I walk down a level and there hiding in plain sight is exactly what i'm looking for, Amish bling. They have stars with American flag designs as well as different size stars. Every type of star your little barn desires.Traditionally hex stars had six points, but four or five pointed stars could bring good luck or stop the rain. Some Pennsylvania Dutch farmers believed in the power of hex signs to ward off witches and their frightening influence. Me? I live in the woods so I know there is the Blair Witch lurking out there. Also, I bought the biggest star to keep the haters away.I came to Village Country Crafts and bought a unique item. I'm pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend shopping here for unique and quality items.

The owners of Village Country Crafts in the Bird-In-Hand Farmers market are extremely unprofessional. The lady working the counter (who claimed to be the owner) told my 2 year old to either pay for the two stuffed animals or put them back. Then she proceeded to argue with me when I asked her what the issue was with my 2 year old only holding them. My child was so happy and was causing zero problems. She was simply holding them looking for her twin brother. We were still looking around the store and was not ready to checkout yet. When we were checking out (I didn't want to buy anything from them, but my child really wanted one of the two stuffed animals) the woman behind the counter had the nerve to ask me if we put the other one back. I couldn't believe she was that rude. After an exchange of words back and forth she told me to leave or she was calling the cops. I told her go ahead, I doubt the cops would like a grown woman picking on a 2 year old. Instead, she called her mama who works in the store below hers. Her mother (Amish) was equally as rude. She told me some parents don't have an issue when they tell their kids to put the stuffed animals back and some like me do. Of course I do, any good parent would. She also told me that some kids drool all over the stuffed animals and would I want to buy one drooled all over. I can't believe that's how they justify being so rude to a toddler. My child was not drooling on anything. Why are we being harassed for the actions of other kids??? Good grief, if they have such issues with kids being kids in their store then DON'T sell stuffed animals or anything a child would want to pick up. I was also told that they get plenty of business and don't need mind. Needless to say we will not be going back there EVER and will tell as many people as we can about this place. Harassing customers and especially children is unacceptable and I will be pursuing a legal complaint (or action) against them.

Fake Amish and Mennonite employees. Prices were so high i even had to pay for a fudge sample. Yee gads. Everybody pack up and leave. The Amish might show up.
