I felt highly respected and of importance during my visit to Bethlehem’s Patient First. I was treated as though my ailment mattered to everyone in the building and was physically treated in a way that allowed me to leave there feeling much better mentally and physically.

The only good thing was the male doctor, he was great (I forget his name, I'm sorry!!) the rest of the visit was so bad. First they didn't know my co-pay so I couldn't pay in cash, never had that happen in my life. Then I didn't have anything on under my hoodie and the female who took my blood pressure asked me to half take off my hoodie so my arm was out, I felt so exposed and uncomfortable, (we were not in a private room, no door or curtain, just in the wife open area) even after explaining I had nothing on under she did not care at all! Do not go here, if you can avoid it !!

Dr. Sully, who saw me thirty minutes before close, was aggressive and authoritarian in his approach to his practice. He directed me and orchestrated care in different facilities without ever consulting with me and at no point ever collaborated with me in MY healthcare. He did not seem to acknowledge any right to my own decision making over my body and who treated it. His demeanor was not even representative of treatment I received from other Patient First Facilities, like in Wyomissing. For everything Dr. Sully failed at, that young man who brought me back and took my vitals was EXCELLENT in every aspect of care.

Doctors bedside manner needs to improve. The other staff was very nice especially the lab tech. Asked for blood work to verify nothing serious, had to have the lab tech tell the Dr we wanted 2 more blood tests being ok the results would take a few days. Had an ekg done which the Dr couldn't explain in English for common folks. Just said go to er despite husband explaining his other health issue. Dr adamant the ekg result had nothing to do with his other issue. Wrong!!!. Spent hours at hospital just to be told patient first s ekg was flawed, not clear and obviously conducted incorrectly. Hospitals ekg found nothing wrong, further tests also showed nothing wrong. If the test was done correctly, Dr understood what he was looking at and had better understanding of people with other conditions..the extra expense of the hospital visit would have never happened as well as the added stress and fear my poor husband had to go thru. Shame on you, do better. Your one class in medical school should not overshadow a person's health condition and years of experiencing it. And yes, doctors can prescribe out of state if the have the appropriate licenses and credentials required by law.

This urgent care is a total scam. They made me charge my card twice even though i told them the charge originally went through and i had to get a new card. I also had an apparent balance that i was never notified of resulting in a bunch of late fees being added to my balance making it 5x the original cost of the bill. On top of all that, it took an hour just to be seen and we didn’t leave till almost 3 hours later when they closed. (It was practically empty when i got there) The nurses/doctors all gossip instead of focusing on their jobs so if you don’t want to waste your time and money go somewhere else.

Non physician support staff did not seem very competent. While dressing the wound I had stitched had to attempt to wrap it 2 times before the nurse had to come in and complete the job. Also told me I was fine to leave and took me out of the patient room before I received a tetanus shot that the nurse was retrieving. The nurse and physician assistant were outstanding will only continue to come here because of that fact. I think more training needs to be issued to the non physician staff.

I work in the medical field, and understand how challenging it can be to serve your community. This team was amazing – from the staff that took my information, to the people that assisted in x-rays and getting my stats, all the way through to the provider that assisted with my diagnosis. Thank you so much for your care, compassion, and appropriate humor at a time when I so needed it!

Excellent staff. Much better than going to an ER. Dr Oakley was very professional and had a good bedside manner.
