Absolute piss poor excuse for a gym. I rather work out in a prison than here, which would somehow be cleaner than this dump. Everything is falling apart and dirty. Save your money and go elsewhere, there are plenty of better options in the area.

I would not recommend this facility so avoid, if you can for the following reasons:-Equipment remains broken for months at a time, including a water fountain that has been actively leaking for at least one month with signs around it.-The sanitizing spray bottles don't work properly and the hand sanitizer sitting right at the front desk is empty even with people working there all the time (???)-Some equipment like the grips of machines are literally falling apart. Simple things like ordering more clips and weight pins is too difficult, but yet the monthly membership price was raised 6 months ago.-A big complaint I have was my experience with the personal training director over promising prior to purchase of package and then very much under delivering services rendered (and apparently there's a history of this scenario). I brought my concerns to his attention, and there was little concern or interest on his part during that conversation. I also feel like as a gym, you should be hiring certified personal trainers, if for nothing else, liability purposes, but guess not.Again, I would not recommend and if they cared, they could do so much better for their members, but they continue to show that they do not.

Places has slowly been getting worse and worse. First time coming back since April: 3 of 10 machines have grips broken or frame loose I used and 2/3 treadmills wouldn’t turn on, layers of dust on pipes/vents overhead. Water fountain/filler has been broken leaking water onto the floor for over a month now, and the floor is completely ruined from disrepair, all the paper towel dispensers ripped off walls, and 1/2 the spray bottles there used to be, no drinks to purchase as the fridge is empty. Nice to see the same sink faucets that were broken in April are still broken. Doesn’t seem like the owner cares about fixing anything even with rates being raised 50% couldn’t keep the time on the main clock right so they removed it also. Unfortunately this gym really has gone downhill

I would give this business zero stars (negative stars if that were an option). In short, I needed to cancel my annual membership. Was charged the contractual $58. Membership (and the associated monthly fee) was supposed to be canceled on the spot. I was then subsequently charged $15/month for three months before I realized their oversight. 4 different visits to the gym itself to get this matter credited to my credit card went unaddressed. The team working the front desk told me I could only resolve via the regional manager who had the ability/access to make such reimbursements. Several attempts to communicate with him also went unaddressed - never received a reply of any sort from my email communications. This became a matter of courtesy and professionalism as the total amount I was owed ($45) was minimal. But this MAXX fitness location and staff blatantly ignored all of my "civil" attempts to rectify the situation. Terrible customer service and it appears to be a trend with this location. And the gym itself was rather unkept and dirty. The locker room smelled more than a fitness locker room should and machines, while sporting a good variety, could have used some maintenance/upgrades.

WARNING DO NOT GIVE THIS GYM YOUR BANKING INFO*this has all been reported to the police* so if you have a similar experience - please let me know so I can add it to my police report. Per the manager “Alec” he gets complaints like this “all the time”.This gym will steal from you, without any remorse or urgency to address the situation. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BANKING INFO! $640 was stolen from my bank account the day before Thanksgiving - November 22, 2023. It was obviously very intentional. 4 transactions of $160 each was withdrawn from my personal bank account without any receipt or communication on why they felt they could take this money from me. They are preying on people both not checking their bank accounts and traveling for the holidays. This organization as a whole is set up to make sure people are robbed and have no way of contacting anyone useful to get their money back in a timely manner. I have had issues in the past trying to cancel a service that I was tricked into and never used with this gym so I knew calling the gym would amount to nothing. (I have proof that service was cancelled in August of 2021) If you have an issue, you must go in and deal with their nonchalant attitude that they stole a felony level worth of money from you.Went into the saucon valley gym at 11AM on a Thursday. Was met by the manager “Alec” who was everything BUT helpful on refunding the $640 that was stolen from me a month away from Christmas (NBD). I was told a mysterious person named “marcus” who was not present that day (although a half drank bottle of water was at his/her desk) would have information on why I was robbed of over $500. “Alec” was unable to assist AND was unable to provide me anyone’s contact information to settle this issue immediately. He stated his “boss” the regional manager and the owner of the gym were in Connecticut doing “I don’t know what”. (AKA: Living off people’s stolen money)I made it clear during my visit that my expectation was to be refunded immediately the same day I came into the gym. “Alec” the manager explained he could not provide me anyone in management or the gym owners contact information. He assured me he would make sure “Marcus” would call me back the same day to get the bank fraud sorted out. I waited all day and zero correspondence from anyone at this gym was received. If anyone knows the owner’s contact information that “alec” could not provide, please share. Thank you for reading my experience and I hope it doesn’t happen to you or your family.

The owner is poor, the entire gym screams failing business. Don’t give your money to maxx, the owner is only trying to rob the Lehigh Valley of its hard earned money. This place is just a scam .98 cent transaction bro really give me a break I’ve never stepped foot in such a disturbing place that’s legally in business I don’t understand how this place is even open all they do is try to rob you of your hard earned money because planet fitness is running them through the mud ??

The owner charged my card for 0.98 cents if that doesn’t speak as to how poor this owners soul has become throughout the years I don’t know what will. He’s trying to strip my family of the little change we have left and he will do it to your family too.

Sadly the cost has gone up and the quality has gone down. Machines are left broken for extended periods of time and the accumulation of dust has reached an all time high. This gym is in need of owners that care, a deep clean and staff that can manage to open on time. With a community of early risers this area is ripe for the picking of any new gyms that offer a consistent and clean barbell enviroment

The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've been a member since July and they have been overcharging me since the first debit! I have tried to work it out 4 times, was repeatedly told that a manager would call me back and they NEVER did. Over the course of 2 months! The turn over at this place is ridiculous which just speaks to how disgracefully the place is run. I'm trying to close my accounts but haven't been able to get anyone to address the fact that they owe me money! Find another gym! Signing up here would be a disaster.

Decent gym with a good community, a little slow on repairs (especially for the men's weight scale that had been out of commission for about half a year) but nothing too bad. HOWEVER the employees do not make it known to you that if you cancel your subscription you will be charged an extra month the NEXT month. Cancelling is also difficult, having to be in person and pay a fee to cancel if it's under a year. In general, these guys are trying to weasel any kind of money out of you that they can, so stick to other places especially now the price has gone up to $20 (they bumped up the prices without making customers aware).

It’s a decent gym ran by a sad and lazy regional manager. Keeps a personal trainer staffed that he knows is a predator. Multiple people have brought incidents up to him and also have ad a lot of disturbing evidence but still choices to cover up for him. Matt and tammie haven’t returned our calls either which is saddening that they are keeping this evil guy still employed. And giving him a pay check. Also Eric j doesn’t answer emails also which is saddening. It’s like they don’t want to face the truth at all. Hopefully the ceo opens up his eyes soon or this gym will probably go down In the gutters like retro fitness

I've been coming to this gym for a little over a year because it is convenient in regards to location.. but that's about it. The hours suck, especially on weekends. The cleanliness is not great especially since half the time paper towels are no where to be found nor spray bottles of cleaner. They charge $15 a month now instead of the usual $10 for a basic membership; as well as a $50 annual maintenance fee that apparently doesn't get put to use being that half the machines are always broken and or not maintenance regularly. This is my only option for a gym that's convenient for me other than planet fitness. Might just have to get a gym membership elsewhere. I'm not one to be negative or complain about much but this gym is becoming a joke. Can't speak for the other Maxx locations though.

ust had a horrible experience dealing with Marcus the personal training manager at this Maxx location on Route 378 in Bethlehem. After signing up for a six month personal training program 6 months ago, during which I explicitly stated upfront that I only wanted to purchase six months, the amount was taken out of my bank account again in July, the seventh month. When I called to ask marcus about it, he said he could send me a copy of my contract, which says that it's month-to-month. Nowhere in our discussion did we discuss going month-to-month after my six month purchase. Mr. suave insists he tells all of his clients this. so even with the 30 day cancellation policy, this is also clearly an attempt to retrieve more income than they are entitled to. He won't budge off his position which a good customer service oriented business would refund the charge and cancel any future payments because why else would someone be that irate about being charged for some thing they 1. didn't agree to, and 2. weren't expecting. No where in the discussion did he say that this is a month-to-month service only. he also claims this is decided by corporate, but when asked for corporate's phone number, he states there is none. What business doesn't have a phone number to contact? Clearly, there is intentional deceit going on here and Marcus is A+ at his job of being deceitful. He also told me that he couldn't cut it as a personal trainer at a bigger club like Equinox located in bigger cities. Instead of being upfront, the business consciously decided to create a negative reputation for themselves. While I'm ranting, fill the paper towel dispensers, fill the spray bottles, fix the equipment that is broken or falling apart, and connect the TVs that don't work on the treadmills and bicycles.

This gym used to be nice and clean but they never have hand sanitizer the dispenser is always empty. They used to have bottle of water/ other drinks for sale the cooler is empty. This place is going downhill what happened ????And also raised prices and never gave warning like sending a email out I realized in my bank statement.
