All the self checkout that they put in some time ago are all shut down. You have to queue for 20 plus minutes at 9pm on a Thursday because they only have 3 or 4 lanes with cashiers. It’s ridiculous. What did they think was going to happen when they did away with half their staff to be replaced my machines? It’s absolutely painful to shop there anymore and their prices aren’t even good. Funny how aldis had all self checkout but they don’t have this problem.

Big and full of almost everything you need. Very specialty items might be missing, but all the normal and most everything is always available.

This store is laid out weird. No matter what you're looking for it's going to be in a strange spot that you wouldn't expect. The parking lot is also difficult to navigate with lots of random stop signs and inefficient entry/exit paths.Edit to add: I don’t know why I keep stopping at any Giant Eagle. They’re overpriced, trying to be high end while giving off a cold, corporate vibe and now they’re closing their self checkouts early and then only staffing one register starting at 8pm with a 10pm closing! Avoid, avoid, avoid! Go to Shop ‘n Save where your patronage is actually valued!

I arrived at this store when I was driving home from the beach. I walked in the store and was hit in the face by the fresh smell of pastries. I practically floated toward the section and bought myself some cupcakes. I was so excited to eat them that the second I stepped out of the store I tore into them, and I never imagined a taste so good. In the better part of a minute I tore through the entire twelve pack of cupcakes, it was the best tasting cupcake I had ever had.NOTE:I didn't take any photos while inside the Giant Eagle, but I tried to take this photo. Although, as you can see a car got in the way,.

Recently, they close the self checkout line after 8 pm! This is frustrating and staying in line takes more time than the actual shopping! Generally, I like the store and I hope the management can reconsider their policy for self checkout.

We stopped for a fish sandwich Friday and were so disappointed.! Although it was a fresh pan the fish was not fresh. Coating was rubbery and not really hot. Will not be back for the fish again.

First of all I work here so tips on shopping! Every department has their own set of workers. Produce wears green shirts! Any cheese questions is for Deli not prepped foods. Dairy is opposite side of store from gourmet, think pharmacy entrance. Half the check outs are self checkout. ALL BEER AND WINE HAVE TO BE BOUGHT AT BEER AND WINE, NO OTHER CASHIER IN STORE! the gourmet counter is COLD FOOD. The hot food is located near the Pizza Oven, the thing with the Flames. Rotisserie chickens are out around 9:20 AM. The rest of the prep food department won't open till 11 am. Just cuz the store is open DOES NOT MEAN every dept is. WE ARE REQUIRED TO SAY HI TO YOU. SORRY TO BOTHER. please don't yell at us for doing our jobs. We don't want to bother you either. Masks are optional but remember parents (dads) don't leave sick kids at home, so germs be here. Please do not send your husband to the store without very specific instructions, we are not personal shoppers. Carside is very knowledgeable of where anything is at in the store- they're the personal shoppers, not anybody at a counter. We have over 40,000 different PLUs. Do not expect us to know where XYZ from 2000-late is at. If it's been years since you've been here, this store has been rearranged, take your time to get reacquainted. Most of our coworkers are neurodivergent- calling us names is not only politically incorrect, it shows your age. DO NOT ASK US FOR OUR NUMBERS. WE ARE NOT PAID TO FLIRT. AND ITS AWKWARD AS ALL HECKERS. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE TO BOTHER THE YOUNG LADIES.
