I bounce back and forth between the Penn Hills Giant Eagle and Bethel Park GE for prescriptions depending on where I am staying . I have been having the same prescription filled for over 10 years . Today I experienced Megan at the Bethel Park pharmacy on Library Rd and it wasn’t a pleasant experience . I asked a simple question as to why my prescription couldn’t be filled over the phone and she went into a loud and confrontational explanation as to my insurance must not have approved it . One problem ….. I don’t have health insurance Megan . I am an independent contractor and roll the dice for now. So your guess / fib couldn’t be more wrong Megan . I know exactly why it is an odd amount but she didn’t take the time to listen to me …. All she did was talk !! When I asked her why she was being so confrontational she said she wasn’t but she can’t hear very well . I know the difference between loud talk and loud confrontational talk . She was miserable and abrasive . I went to the manager and he didn’t seem to be surprised . I believe his name was Scott and he was very sympathetic. It would be suggested that you take a long look at her delivery to customers . It’s never what you say but how you say it and she does not “say it” very well !

I wish there was option for negative stars….. One of the checkout machine, probably number 5 was not working as a shopper before us was taking toooo long for just few items…..due to the long line we stayed in the same checkout area and yes indeed the machine had problem as it was not scanning at all….. an employee there came to us and literally behaved rudely and said “You have to put the scanned item in the BAG first and then scan another “and that is literally what I had been doing….. I have shopped at different Giant Eagle pleeeeenty of times and never experienced such unprofessionalism….. that employee was later shouting in annoyance as well with other customer…… it’s the self checkout machine that has the problem not US and neither the other customers

The store itself is good but would be better if they got new grocery buggies. And the cashiers are always so sweet. I have my favorites. :)

incredibly busy for the season, I often choose to stay away. However, I had to go, and because of the polite nature of the staff, I was able to find what I needed quickly and also enjoyed the addition of more self check out lanes :)

This grocery store has it all, including a bar with an incredible selection of beers that are very well priced! I don't think you could go to a different bar and get the same beers on draft for any less. This flagship-style Giant Eagle store has a bit 'more' than typical stores -- when it comes to specialty food sections, events hosted in-store, and holiday/seasonal merchandise. Yet, they still have all of the typical goods you'd look to buy in a Giant Eagle.

Nice layout but why the heck do you build a store on top of a hill. The parking lot slopes way down and you lose control of your heavy cart loading the bags in your car. Pittsburgh.

Clean but over priced for things you can get at shop save atleast a dollar less or more. And requiring people to buy 3-5 items just to get a discount? Isnt convient for many, you're not costco.

It will take you as long to check out here as it does to find your groceries. They never have more than 2 or 3 cashiers regardless of giant lines. Poor management.

This review is based in today experience with a cashier name Teresa” I never got any rude cashiers these 2 past years and I usually go to a cashier name Mary which is very nice! The location is in Bethel Park PAAnyway this Teresa lady was very rude just because she didn’t understood what I said? I know I said it very low and besides my accent but when I told her something louder she understood perfectly,Still not reason to tell me that in that way and on top of this, she was throwing the items like mad , she is lucky I didn’t said anything but I was ready to tell her some things, I won’t waste my time fighting with a unprofessional person and racist b…I really hope the manager teach her some manners! Thanks

Very Rude and unprofessional. I arrived at 9:45 to get eggs, milk and bread. However they had the doors locked and the store security guy stood there watching me. He wouldn’t even acknowledge me. I waited until someone walked out and tried to enter and he said I cannot come in. I said why? He said “we’re closed” I said you’re closed 15 minutes early? He said, “yes you can’t buy anything bc the registers are closed”! The business closes at 10:00 pm! Not 9:45. This is ridiculous. I’m attaching photos of shoppers coming out after he told me you can’t buy anything. There were several other customers who wanted to go inside with me. At 10:06 the last customer came out! That clearly indicates that I had more than enough time to run in for eggs, milk, & bread. It’s discrimination. Bethel Park Giant eagle DISCRIMINATES! In 2023! Shame on you and I hope this reaches thousands of your patrons to inform them of your true colors.
