I always go to Bernville Labs for my blood work, I only want Tammy to do my blood draw, she is great hits the vein, first time , no pain , I can be a hard stick. She’s is friendly, outgoing, just an all around great person.

I’m not an easy person to get blood from. Tiny veins. Along with being friendly and prompt, Debbie is quite skillful. Bernville lab is my first choice because of her.

My wife has been having her lab work done at this facility for many years and always raved about Tammy (Phlebotomist) at this facility. I on the other hand had been going to another lab due to its location. Due to my medical history I need to get my INR checked averaging 2x a month. After I retired with my wifes urging I decided to try this facility. I have to agree with my wife. There have been times I've had other phlebotomists at this facility but hands down Tammy is best at doing her job. She doesn't cut corners and is very professional. You can trust her to provide a safe, sanitary and enjoyable experience.

Debbie R did my blood work for me today, she is the absolute sweetest. Made me feel comfortable, and made the process quick and painless (as possible for me not liking needles). Would absolutely recommend and will come back when I need further bloodwork done.

I Always try to avoid this lab if I can. There is only 1 lady that works there & she has no compassion. I have gone here twice and each time regretted it instantly for her lack of care. I have a hard time getting labs done. I have small veins and a huge fear of needles so I ask for it to be done in a specific area and every time I do she gets cocky with me and says “I’ve been doing this for 35 years and have never done it there”. I honestly don’t care that you haven’t. I get worked up easily over needles and she never helps. Just makes me feel like a bother for being there & doesn’t try to understand my fears & just goes attitude. I’ll continue going to the reading hospital lab even though it’s 20 more additional mins down the road for me. They are so compassionate there and Always make me feel comfortable and not a bother. This lady should be fired. I don’t care that she’s been there 35+ years. Highly suggest going to a different lab if you want someone friendly and caring.

I normally have a fairly decent experience with this place, but today I did not. I know that their lunch break is 11am-11:30am, so I didn't want to go anywhere near that time. I showed up a little before 10am for some blood work. There was one, older woman working the lab that day by herself. I did what I was supposed to do, wrote my name in the log & had a seat. There was one person ahead of me getting her blood work done so I got my paperwork out & took out my ID & insurance card as the sign stated to that was right beside the sign in sheet. The woman working says "Next!" so I come in, hand her my paperwork which she ripped out of my hand. I go to hand her my cards & she RUDELY says to me "I don't need the cards." I didn't say anything but if they don't need my cards, then why is there a sign out front stating to have your photo ID & Insurance card ready? This woman asked me if my address was the same & that was it. I said "Yes, that's correct." She says "Have a seat." So I sat in the chair to get my blood drawn. After she's done with the paperwork, she immediately starts flinging things around, slamming things down, etc. like she was angry about something. If she was angry with me or something I did, then I have no idea what it was & I hadn't even been in the room for more than a 2 minutes. But honestly, it seemed as though she seemed angry & very unpleasant before I gave her my paperwork with that aggravated look stuck on her face. Since this woman appeared to be angry or aggravated with something, I was already worried about how she was going to draw my blood. I was terrified that she was going to purposely make it hurt more than it should to get blood drawn. Fortunately, her drawing my blood wasn't an issue & she did it very fast. However, after she was done drawing my blood, she quickly & tightly wrapped my arm almost as though she was trying to save a comrade in war from bleeding out (no I'm not exaggerating, I'm trying to paint a picture). After that she said "ok you're done." So I just picked up my stuff and left. Normally, I would've given this review 1 star due to how rudely I was treated. However, I'm feeling generous & decided to give it 2 stars because, in all fairness, the woman did do her job (despite the fact that she didn't treat me with any respect) & she did do it quickly. From the time I entered to the time I left, it was no more than 5 minutes; the blood work portion only took 2-3 minutes. I'm not saying that this woman should have treated me like a queen or anything. I also didn't expect her to be all bubbly & super nice either. But I did expect to be treated like a human being & should've been treated with some form of respect. I understand that people have bad days & such but you know what? That's life. I hate my job at some points too & really despise some of the customers, but I NEVER treat them rudely or disrespectful. If this is the way this woman acts all the time, then I'd say she has the wrong job. You should have some kind of customer service skills & learn to treat others with respect if you work in ANY job that requires you to interact with another person. Whenever the younger girls are working, they are very nice & respectful. So please note that this is just 1 bad experience out of the 3 times I've gone there. However, I might try the Womelsdorf lab location next time.
