The Belle Vernon, PA office is so poorly managed & one of the tax professionals is truly not professional. 2 years ago she made a huge mistake on our taxes, we were to receive a $1200.00 refund, we questioned her regarding this as we have always had to pay taxes each year. We were assured it was correct, it was not. The IRS contacted us within 3 months informing us the taxes were incorrect & gave us 30 days to correct the discrepancy, when we called H&R Block we were informed she took 4 months off & they couldn't or wouldn't help us! They promote this company to be there to fix problems they initiated. However a very nice woman named Sandy stepped forward & corrected the mistake Robin had made. We decided as she had done our taxes for several years to not make a complaint as everyone at sometime has made mistakes. When she made our yearly appointment she said offhand, you could do your own taxes now that you retired it is easy. When we arrived for our appointment 2 days ago we were informed we had no appointment & that the H&R Corporate computer had canceled alot of her appointments. We were treated rudely by the receptionist & was told we could set for an hour as she had a client. I had just come from the hospital with a knee injury and setting for an hour just wasn't acceptable. We will never use this H&R Block again.

We had several issues throughout the process. At our initial appointment to get our taxes done we had to wait 20 minutes to be seen due to the family ahead of ours taking extra time (fair it happens), but as soon as we sat down to begin our taxes we were told there was no way we could be done in the appointment as our window was now shortened and there were other appointments after ours. We were promised to have everything done within 5 business days. Fast forward 3 weeks - there were major delays and failure to return any phone calls requiring us to drive to the office 3 times. Once the process was done and we paid what we owed, we received a letter from the IRS stating that we owed thousands more. We spoke with our representative who assured us the IRS was incorrect and that they’d draft a letter on our behalf to clear up the issue. We were then completely ghosted for another several weeks and when we went to the office twice two weeks apart we were told both times that a message was being left for our tax professional. Another week later we went back as the IRS deadline for payment was coming up and we were told our professional was gone for the season but the IRS was correct! She had left a sticky note on our file to have the receptionist inform us of this (apparently without giving anyone else a heads up) with no attempt to return any of our calls and inform us herself, nor did anyone at the office ever call us with the information. After voicing our complaint to the manager and asking for assistance with how to navigate the process as we had only a few days to arrange things we were told there was nothing they could do. We figured it out and were sent a refund of the payment H&R collected from us but the complete disregard from the office was horrible. Overall the most stressful experience we’ve ever had with getting taxes done and we will not be returning.

Always get our taxes done here. Friendly employee's and if they're not sure of something they tirelessly look for the right answer!! Trustworthy!

H&R Block is very professional and efficient at preparing our taxes. I have used them since I was 19 and highly recommend them to anyone who isn't confident in preparing their own taxes. The office we use always has friendly employees and we never wait long. Well worth the money paid.

Stay away.. their “tax pros” are clueless. Ours bumbled and stumbled through filing our 2021 and 2022 taxes. Was told was going to get a refund for 2021, but discovered that we actually owe because the “tax pro” entered incorrect information on one of our forms. When I called and spoke directly to her, I got.. “oh, yeah I should have put (this amount) on that form and not (this amount). I’m sorry, you will owe that money.”Can someone tell me why we pay hundreds of dollars to have someone do our taxes when they obviously don’t do them correctly??Filed a complaint through the main 800 #.. I don’t care that I owe the IRS, but I do care that I paid for services that was wrong.

I got to give this location a negative 5 star. Employees were ignorant, absolutely no help whatsoever ever. False Advertising, saying walk in welcome on the doors. That's a lie. Honestly, just don't give this location any business. Ither find a different tax preparation company, different location, do it yourself.
