The people who run this store are very friendly. You can find some pretty great deals, and it's definitely worth the trip.

I love this discounted grocery store its off Route 220 between Bedford, PA and Cumberland, MD. It's in the old Centerville Elementary School. The cans are bent and dented, and the expiration is close to date, and a lot of items are discontinued. Where can you find 3 pounds of onions for $.99! Where can I buy Starbucks coffee each bag @ $2.00? I buy Illy coffee (3 cans) from Italy (8 ounces each) for $5.00 total! I also can buy Sweeties favorite treat "Sunday Roast" from Bocce's Bakery for $1.00! Kind bars for $.25! Huge variety of canned goods, dry goods, paper products, and pet foods. They offer a small freezer section with ham, sausage, shrimp, whiting and other seafood. It's worth the visit! Just heads up the grocery store aisles are so narrow barely room for two carts to pass. Put on your skinny jeans and patience!

We love this store and the employees! You are made to feel as family. There is such a large assortment of groceries as well as other items. It is worth the drive to visit and stock up the pantry!

BEWARE: Stopped in on the way to Maryland, unfortunately there were a lot of items that were at least 6 months out of date, and at least ten different items I looked at were over a year out of date. This business will block you on Facebook if you leave a bad review, that's why most reviews on there are clearly spam.

My friend sent me the Facebook page, and we stopped on our way home with our Seniors—so many extraordinary treasures. I even went back to get three more u shaped pillows. I will be back!

Very old school house turned into a food store. The store in the basement or what was a gym, and cafeteria. The classrooms still intacted upstairs very well kept. The building is heated by a one million BTU oil furnace. The owner is going to convert it back to a 100 year old coal boiler. All pipeing is in taced, all radiator working well. This a plumbing work of art a must see for the old timers.

This place is INCREDIBLE. Mix Of Ollie's and State Line and in my opinion better. Cat food to rare to find if you're not in the city sauces and the like. Just was out there to day and got a case (20) of sparkling water for half the price of a 24 of canned big name soda. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE.

Always wanted to stop and check this place out. Staff was very friendly. I understand it is a bargain store but most items were long outdated. This place was just not for me.

Most Grocery stores that have "discount" in the name don't really give you any discount, it is just off brand stuff being sold at a minor discount but VDG always has new stuff coming in and much of the produce and perishables are priced so low you have to buy some. The staff is always friendly and helpful, it's worth the drive from Cumberland or Bedford.
