Oil consumption issue with my Hyundai Sonata 2018 (50K miles), even after the engine flush, the car continues to burn excessive oil (1 to 2 qts per 1K miles, gets worse the more miles you drive after oil change). Dealer (Bowser in Chippewa) tells me it’s “normal”, and is not interested in following up to resolve the issue.

The staff was super friendly but I sat in the lounge area from 10 am to 2:15 pm for a 10 am pre-scheduled appointment for an oil change and tire rotation that I prepaid for back in May when I bought the truck. I asked them to check 1 tire that was frequently losing air and had been calling to get in for weeks. At 12:30 pm I was told the tire had a bad valve which needed replaced at 1:15 pm I was told the sensor was bad. At 2:15 pm I got my dirty vehicle back, paid $66 for the sensor when I purchased bumper to bumper coverage plus tire coverage but they had no idea and told me it would not be covered anyways. And had to rush home to get my kids from school. If I would have know it would take so long I would have arranged transportation or made other plans. Not very impressed for my first visit to the service department.

Excellent dealership with friendly attentive staff. Especially received great service from salesman Kurt. He is the best! Also appreciated the help from the sales manager and also Jason in financing. This was the 5th Hyundai we purchased there and surely will return. Also we use their service department. Would not go anywhere else.
