“Went for the 3-D archery shoot. They had a great 30 target course. Targets were newer, easy walking path from target to target. We ran into a couple of the members that helped setup the course and shot the last few rounds with them. Overall great archery shoot for 10$ will return again in Sept.”

“Re: Swimming lessons for school age kids at the JCC pool. Coaches are involved with the kids and take their time to teach them thoroughly. There's evidence of their progress even week to week. Price is competitive to other programs. Coach K is very effective.”

“I would like the advanced English classes to have a continuation. Because just because one understands a lot of English does not mean that we can speak it, be able to go out and express ourselves successfully. In grammar I still have many problems, in how to ask questions, in the conjugation of verbs, etc. Still 1 and a half years after finishing I'm still trying to carry on a conversation and suddenly I run into the wall of "How do you say?" (the question, the word, the verb, in present, past and future, many? ?in the mind)What is the correct word in English for this?" And there I go blank and I can't continue...They should add pronunciation classes and a 2nd part for advanced students.I am grateful for the year they helped me, but I still needed help, I asked for it and they only told me that that was the end of the classes for my "level." ”

“I go to their Thursday night bingo that is held in the upstairs hall. The kitchen has hot and cold food and drink. The people who run the bingo are very nice. They also sell and play pull tab games during bingo.”

“This place is really cool. Everything is discounted and discounted again by color. It has so many different things to help fix things in your home. Paint, faucets, flooring, sinks, etc. I was looking for a dishwasher but was unsuccessful with that. However, I wasn't disappointedIt actually surprised me when I walked in. So of you need to repair something in your home, check it out. It will be well worth your while. Good day, Juni”

“I have been a contributor to PK, and a volunteer in the cat and dog rooms for 2 years. I couldn't imagine a shelter that cares more for their animals, or cares for them better. We have only 3 paid managers, all of them very well qualified and professional. The rest of us are all volunteers, and all of us love the animals in our shelter and work hard to take care of their physical and emotional needs. We recently renovated our very old building, (the former Zimmerman's Market for long-term local residents), enabling us to provide even better care for our wards, and modernize our veterinary clinic. No matter how well we care for them, dogs especially become depressed and anxious the longer they remain in a shelter environment, so once/week I take a dog on an adventure to a local state park, giving them the best day of their lives. It's the best and most rewarding thing I've ever done, bar none. It provides them with the opportunity to just go out and be a dog, and gives their emotions a lift. If you are thinking of adopting a pet, please give one of our dogs, cats, bunnies or guinea pigs a look. As one of our posters says, "You won't change the world by adopting a shelter animal, but for that one animal their life will be changed forever". As a side note, we have thoroughly investigated the very negative review posted by Brett W, and no one at PK knows this person, and there was no cat euthanized at PK under these circumstances. We'd appreciate very much if Brett W would contact us to clarify our understanding.”

“Mrs Elias from Valley Youth House comes into our school to promote issues such as bullying, empathy, kindness, and fighting. She is a professional and kind-hearted person. Also, she has an amazing rapport with our students. The children are completely engaged with her curriculum and they look forward to her coming to visit our school each and every week. Thank you Mrs Elias for bringing light into our lives.”

“Only been here a couple times so far, but place seems decent. Staff are all friendly, and I like that they have cloud cloth's over the lights to make lighting more bearable. It is also close to home, which is nice.”

“Cleanest shelter I’ve ever been in. Doesn’t smell like others do. Everyone is super friendly. Adoption was easy and fast. They truly care about animals and where they go and that your a good fit. Drove almost 2 hours one way for my adoption and it was a great experience. A friend is fostering a cat and saw a cat that fit me perfectly. So I looked at the pics and agreed. Made an appointment. Filled out the application. Not sure how others said you can’t pick. My friend definitely picked hers and I definitely picked mine. You obviously have to be a good match for the cat or dog your wanting. I always let my pets pick me. When I walked in my cat immediately touched my head w hers which is a huge indicator your chosen. If a cat doesn’t do that I personally don’t feel right taking it home. I highly recommend them. Best Shelter I’ve ever been too”

“Prices are sometimes really off but if you look not so hard you will find good deals. I got a lot of items for 99 cents because the tag colors on them were 50 percent off that day. I had to use the bathroom and waited kind of long for them to unlock it and the workers seem underpaid and unhappy for some reason but other than that I like it here.”

“None of these types of places are perfect it’s never easy leaving loved ones in a home but this place was the best place my dad was in. My dad Steve passed away last night and they were very good to me and him. They were also kind during this difficult time. I’d also like to specifically call out and thank the one nurse/caretaker (not sure of her tittle) but her name was Alexis or maybe Lexus. My hearing is not too hot so I apologize if I’m butchering her name. But this woman is a literal angel knowing she was caring for my father when I wasn’t there helps ease my mind tremendously. They need to put up gold statues of this woman and give her a significant pay raise. But all the staff were really kind to me and my father in this difficult time and I can’t thank them enough.”
