There has been an adjustment since the new owners took over. But it’s great now. It’s organized but still great for hunting cool stuff. They are very affordable as well! I love to go on a thrifting hunting trip for unique items I can upcycle and this place never disappoints. The new owners bought it to support the community, which they continue to do. They even offer free food for those who need it. I am so glad this is right here for me.

Used to be a great place to shop but last time we were there, a large dog followed us around the store and barked loudly at us. He didn't look real happy that we were there. It was really uncomfortable. I love dogs and have no issues with a shop owner's dog being in the store, but strange dogs standing next to you barking as you're shopping was a bit worrisome especially when the people working there did nothing to stop it. Haven't been back.

Went here not realizing they have two establishments, one on both sides of the street. Found great finds, owners were pleasant, and walked away both times with a box full of items (back to back days). They have things I never knew I wanted but glad I got. If I’m ever back in PA, I will for sure go back to see what else they have.

Sketchy people. Sketchy place. This used to be a nice store. And it really did help the community. The latest owners have turned it into a burden on this town. There's a lot of drama there. Scary people work there. It's just horrible. I won't even go in the place. I used to like to go there. People have suffered dog bites. It's just insane. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This used to be a nice place. Steve and an older guy were very friendly and helpful. Now everything is a mess, no one is helpful, prices are higher, and overall an uncomfortable vibe.And note: I was there to make donations - AND still they were unpleasant. Lol. I drove here to give you free stuff and you still treat me rudely? Next donation will be in the trash bin and I will save time and gas.

If I could rate this place a -10 I would. I’ve been a loyal customer here and I’ve never in all my years of going to thrift stores or anywhere where I’ve been treated so disrespectfully especially as a paying customer. Renee is the reason that I will not be returning ever again to the store and I will be telling everyone that I know that also goes to that store about my awful experience. Its such a shame because the rest of their employees are really sweet and go above and beyond it’s sad that one person had to ruin it I don’t recommend Coming here as long as Renee the “interior designer” is there!

They have been a god sent and so kind. We lost everything in a fire and they refuse to take money to get what we need. They were so kind about it, never made us feel bad for it. I always came here, loves prices but can never thank them enough for what they did for us.

I go there when I can very sweet lady and all the volunteers/staff are very very helpful she will work with you not against you I will continue going back there because this is the type of business Bangor truly needs a simple "mom and pop" store there's not much here but this place does it all please continue your great work if you see this review you guys are fantastic I will continue to coming to your business as much I possibly can!!!

I stopped over there today. It's nothing like it used to be there. Used to be a gentleman there named Steve. He was great and then there was an older man there. He was great. He used to fix computers and everything. We would go in there. We would buy a few things and he would tell us to make a deal now you go in and everything is priced. The people were rude. They were following you. I picked up a gate and asked how much it was. She goes. That's not for sale. I said well then maybe you should put it behind the counter or say it's not for sale. So with that I walked out. I will not be returning there anytime soon. I miss the old people that work there. Much better atmosphere. You can walk through the store before now. It's all cluttered and dirty. Anyway, missing Steven the other guy. Good luck in your future at your facility but I will not be returning

We had a good time looking through items and picking out some things for the kids. We had just gotten back to town after driving from CHoP and decided to let the girls pick some fun toys for themselves. At check out a gentleman was less than happy that the items we had picked up were from his section. As the section was not blocked off we had no idea, his angst made the girls uncomfortable however the woman who was there with her service dog (assuming owner) told him she would make things right for him and allowed the girls to keep their new toys. We did venture to the larger spot across the street were we found some items for the house and some new clothes as well. Great set of shops and everyone minus the one older guy was very nice, despite his attitude we did enjoy the locations and will return. The idea of the location is great and I hope they follow through with the mission statements posted on the walls. If they do we will certainly return as giving back to the community is a great service needed in the area. All in all a good visit and the girls love the toys!

So very disappointed with my recent visit to nifty n thrifty. I have always enjoyed visiting this local thrift store, but with this last visit I discovered the shop was sold and the new owners had destroyed the store. Place was a mess, charming book nook gone, toys crammed in window display, and clerk sitting behind desk doing nothing. Based on current set up it has already lost what it was. I do not see it coming back to what it was and by no means being better either
