Terrible. They make mistakes, bill me from two different townships and school districts for YEARS and expect me to jump through hoops every year to stop it. While they keep tacking on interest and penalties. Oh, and double the county tax too.
Then you call and get told 6 min wait time, wait another 15 min after that's up, to hear they won't fix their problem, I have to, by dealing with the townships and districts directly. WHY ARE WE EVEN USING A THIRD PARTY COPMANY THEN?!?
Operator was polite.

Highly Incompetent staff. I filed a 2017 return by mail verifying I have zero tax liability. They responded with an acknowledgment letter. This year I received a letter asking me to file a 2017 return ? This is an example of when privatizing goes wrong. I'm lucky I am an Enrolled Agent.

Extremely unhelpful. I don't understand why there are even people answering phone calls if their only goal is to just hang up the phone as soon as they can.Called multiple times. Failed to reach them due to a long wait couple times. When I was finally connected twice, I think it was Connie both times, she tried so hard to just hang up the phone, sounded annoyed with even first question, kept responding to go to the website and didn't even allow few seconds to process my next question by trying to get me off from the phone.

I have to give praise to Ms Martha for taking the time to assist me on my tax documents. I bombarded her with couple of years of tax documents and she patiently did it. Without a doubt she didn't make me feel like I was a burden. Thank you so much.Keep up the good work! God bless you Ms Martha.Of course the staff that walked by me while I was sitting & waiting smiled & very friendly.

Legalized extortion. Talk to 5 different customer service reps, you get 5 different answers. They make a mistake - too bad, you still gotta pay. Not sure how and why this organization even exists. That being said, they could have a negative rating and no one would care because they have no accountability to anyone.

They tried to tell me I owe taxes for a place and state I do not live in. The woman said it was my responsibility to let the city know I had moved- I told her yes that is why you file taxes - next time you want to try to scam someone make sure they don’t know tax law like the back of their hand - my reason for this review is to warn others and do not give this company any money!!

This company is a bunch of theives, got 1 notice about owing taxes for 2017 in a town I didn't live in at the time and it was about wage garnishments. Sent in everything I had to, moving permit from when I moved out of that town in 2012, the paper I needed from berkheimer notorized by the notary and also sent it certified mail so I know it was received and they still garnished my wages. This company needs to stop taking from people when they do what they are supposed.

Berkheimer is a scam. They mail is indented to scare people into paying junk fees and made up taxes. Do not be fooled into giving them your money.
