My boyfriend got a massage here and he said it didn’t start till 12:05 and it ended at 12:45. It ended 20 minutes EARLY and their excuse was so he could get dressed. It took him 1 minute to get dressed as he is a man. They wouldn’t let me speak to a manager or the masseuse. This was his first massage and it was not good. They also were not authorized to charge my second card on file and tried to charge me 129.00 when I already prepaid. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

Update : I DIDNT CANCEL I called at 10am when y’all opened to reschedule my 12 pm appointment that I would’ve still came to if I knew she was going to cancel instead of reschedule it. Since I updated my review they did refund me for half of my massage so ig that helps somewhat. Original review: I booked a massage for my birthday on my birthday and they canceled it and charged my card in full then also tried to charge me to book another appointment… ruined my birthday morning and didn’t even say happy birthday or apologize so I paid for a massage I didn’t receive all because the receptionist lied and said I could reschedule for a later time but decided to cancel it instead without contacting me.

I get massages at different Hand and Stones but today wasn't as good as usual. First of all, the sheets were very rough/pilly. I get that they wash them a lot but normally they feel nicer or at least replaced more often. Second, the massuse used a different technique than I'm use to. It was still relaxing in total but just not as good as usual. She kept the blanket up for a large portion of the massage and just went over the blanket. She also covered my head and wrapped my hair. I'm not sure if it was a towel or sheet, but I've never had that happen before. Eventually she pulled it down and used lotion but it was just really odd.
I'm equal distance between two Hand and Stones so I think I'll go back to the other location next time.

I have been a member of Hand and Stone for sometime. My experience is usually awesome however, today I was looking forward to my spa day starting with my facial for it to be canceled by the esthetician after my appointment time. But if I cancel I have to give 24hour notice or be penalized. That is so unprofessional. The receptionists Vera and Annette were very accommodating and added an enhancement to my massage. I may have to find a new hand and stone because this is not the first time my appointment has been canceled. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behavior!

My massage was alittle rushed. I didn’t get my full 50 mins I only got 40. They have to do better with the timing

The massage and customer service were great. However I timed the massage and it was about 48 minutes even though it was supposed to be 60. Also, the massage bed smelled strange and the sheets looked very worn.

I have been consistently coming to this Bala Cynwyd branch for a while now and will absolutely continue to do so. My massage therapist Dana is legitimately the most incredible therapist I’ve ever seen in a lifetime of years of massages.
The ambiance here is spectacular. They are fun and kind and always make me giggle while I wait for my appointment. I even come a little early to hang because they are fun to be around at the front desk. Tuong, Kaya, Elle, and Vera are so much fun to hang with when I come in. I never leave without lots of giggles and feeling the most relaxed in my life. Run, don’t walk, to this location ❤️

This was my first time visiting a hand and Stone spa. My MT Essence was FANTASTIC!!! As well as Vera and Kaya who works the front desk! I was sooo relaxed and I LOVED the hand therapy enhancement!!!
I HIGHLY recommend this location!

I have been a member of the Hand and stone monthly massage and facial club for about 2
years now. This massage and facial experience was a horrible experience. The onsite manager called the police and had both me and my underage child escorted from the premises because I inquired about their underage policy. Even after the manager was informed by the owner that she was incorrect about the policy, she made the decision to call the police. I believe the manager has an issue with either people of color or the LGBTQ+ community. I'm contemplating on canceling our membership over this treatment.

Benita was amazing ! That was the most relaxing massage I’ve had in such a long time. She took her time and focused on my needs. I am so happy with the service i received today! I will definitely be revisiting very soon ! Thank you Hand and Stone!
