“Century is far and away the best body shop in the Philadelphia area. Their work is absolutely top notch. They took my vehicle with severe front end damage and made look brand new. Additionally, the staff is friendly, considerate, professional and prompt. Andy, Vince and Mike are all great guys. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with this shop. Additionally, I recently took my car by the shop to take care of a dent in the fender. I though this dent could run upwards of $1,000.00, however, Andy and Vin took care of me, worked with me on pricing so the job was within my budget and it looks good as new. Great customer service and great work.”

“Kevin was very friendly and honest. Originally I asked for a quote to get the front and rear brakes replaced, after inspecting they said I didn’t need the rears and saved me half the cost. I called ahead, they gave me same service with no issues.”

“Pat’s Superior Auto Is ‘Simply The Best’! The Is a small but MIGHTY shop! I have been coming here for years and I am truly grateful for the ‘INTEGRITY’ found here at this business!

The guys here are upfront and honest about availability and costs! There is no run-around and when you have a foreign car we ‘ALL’ know how costly repairs can be…the costs here are usually 30-40% less than the dealers prices!

I highly recommend if your car needs some TLC and wanted to give the spotlight to Pat’s!
Well Deserved!”

“This is the first shop I've trusted in a long time. Eddie's so nice, and they always take care of me. Car work is expensive, but I've checked their pricing and it's always been more than fair. As long as I'm in the area, I'll keep taking my car to these guys”

“Everything was fine. I gave 4 stars because that’s my overall review for Avis but the service was excellent. The young man Omar gets a 5 star for customer service and assistance with the rental.”

“Overall the staff is wonderful. I do suggest that when returning a loaner that there be better direction. I was told to have a seat and someone would get right to me. I waited about an hour before I decided to text my service guy. Harold wasn’t aware I was there. He immediately came to me and couldn’t apologize enough. And at that point had me out pretty quick. However, I did specifically ask to have the car washed as I wasn’t aware it was a courtesy by bmw, but when I received the car back it was not cleaned. Not a big deal but was really expecting it. It was around 930am on a Tuesday. Seems to be a busy time with everyone running around trying to get customers out. I completely understand. Again, the staff is polite and friendly. I think there just needs to be better operation when bringing in for service vs bringing back a loaner. You pull in to the same bay which may be why there was confusion. Suggest a RETURNS sign maybe??”

“My car broke down in the Costco parking lot and my car was stuck in reverse. I called AAA and 3 different tow companies declined me. Stephan came out and literally saved me. After over 5 hours of waiting for a tow truck from AAA, the call got sent to Stephan, within the hour he got to me and my car and got it started. He followed me to my mechanic shop to make sure I got there safely and was able to calm my nerves. All over a wonderful guy and would recommend his services to anyone!Service: Transmission”

“Update... I now have a refund of the last repair. So I am updating from "1 star" to "4 stars" with the original review below the update.

To recap... I brought in my car for a new battery (5 years into an 8 year battery) but the warranty doesn't last that long. They replaced the battery. A week later, they put in new battery terminals. A week later, a new alternator and a new battery. Two weeks later, a new ground fault circuit. The third repair was the one that was truly needed.

Did I pay for new battery terminals and a new alternator when all I needed was a new ground fault circuit?

So I complained, corporate reached out and then the store reached out. And I now have a refund of that final repair. If you need similar help, I suggest emailing though their contact page and if that doesn't work, a review sure got their attention.

Here is why this is a one star review: It's not that there was a problem, which there was. It's that the Pep Boys "Field Leadership Team" (hence this interaction with that justifies this review) has not stood behind their work.

My car won't start so I arranged roadside assistance for a jump start. I drove it back to Pep Boys hoping for some warranty on this "8 year battery" that they installed five years ago (you'll see my 12/22/2018 four star review above). No, that's not how it works I was told. The warranty is much shorter than that. So I paid full price for a new battery. Okay, I guess I understand.

A week later, I go to start the car. Dead again. I had road service come and jump start it. I drive it directly to Pep Boys and they diagnosed it as needing new battery terminals. $180 for that service. (No more warranty on the battery terminals they installed five years ago.)

A week later, I go to start the car. Dead again. I had road service come and jump start it. I drove it to Pep Boys and this time, it's diagnosed with needing a new alternator and a new battery. No charge for the two week old battery but I was charged $800 for the alternator replacement.

Two weeks later (hey, I don't drive much!), I go to start the car. Dead again. This time, road service tried to jump start it and it would not take the jump. Totally dead. Pep Boys paid for a tow to their shop where I told them, "Keep it for a week if you need to. Fix it right this time."

They diagnosed that the ground fault circuit needed replacing. $500 for this and I'm now wondering if they misdiagnosed the battery terminals and the battery and the alternator. Did I pay over $1500 for repairs I didn't need?

Jump forward to me reaching out to Pep Boys by email. A few days later, I got a call from "Field Leadership" who said that they would refund the last repair, I just need to come into the store with the credit card. So I do that and the store manager says, "No, we can't do that from here. You need to have corporate do that."

So I again emailed corporate on June 10. They replied and said I would hear from someone. I have heard from no one and I waited ten days to write this review. When Pep Boys sees this, it is case ID 134772. I will update again but if there is no further update, it means they not only don't stand behind their repairs, they also don't stand behind their word. I need to find a new national chain for repairs.”
