“What a beautiful spot this is filled with all sorts of nostalgic and unique goodies for everyone! A must to frequent. For anyone who knows the worth of antiquity, this place is full of very reasonably priced gems. Also, it includes a wide range depending on what you're wanting to spend. Thanks Kellie and Penn for a perfect and relaxing experience.”

“Very cool little store that is most unexpected, and a very welcome addition to the tiny town of Intercourse. Beautiful handmade rugs from all regions of the Middle East (These rugs are pricey, but I haven't seen better prices, they are gorgeous heirloom quality investment pieces) Various Turkish Kilim rugs, pillow covers, incredible lamps and lighting imported directly from Turkey. Also gorgeous painted dishes and housewares. You just can't get these beautiful things at a big box store. The ambiance reminds me of something straight out of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. This is the real deal when it comes to Boho Chic. If you're in town, it's a MUST.”

“Elsa was so kind and patient. She provided excellent customer service. She took her time to help us find the perfect quilt. We went to five quilt stores in the area on the very same day. At the end of the day, The Old Country Store made the sale. And we walked out with an amazing quilt.”

“Nice place but very pricey. It used to be that Amish goods were slightly cheaper. That was a big draw to go to Lancaster. There were originally a few kings stores. One of them the original is now closed up. It is just up the street from kings Homestead and sits on a corner property. This was the original wood shop where you could see the Mennonite carpenters. I say this because the saw equipment was electrified. Either way, they used to produce some very beautiful pieces out of that shop. The kings Homestead is very nice, but there is a lot more made from China offerings in home decor than there used to be. Don't get me wrong they do have a very nice selection of Amish made furniture. However, their prices have gone up significantly and they are no longer leaving you with the feeling that you've really gotten quite a piece for the price I mean you are getting solid real wood, but it is at a premium. Not complaining just stating the facts.”

“If you're in the Bird in Hand-Intercourse area you have to visit this store. They have Amish furniture on display including tables, cabinets etc. But they also feature table tops made of various domestic hardwoods, such as the hard-to-find chestnut. Most of their wood comes from reclaimed barnwood. An amazing store.”

“Stopped in to do some Christmas shopping. How have I never been in before? Such cute decor, and I love the option to get local items. Someone said this shop reminded them of the Cape May shops and I agree. Very happy with these items, and I'm guessing the gift recipients will be too.”

“This is the cutest little gift shop! It’s right down the road from me! I love stopping at this place for last minute bridal shower gifts! BUT it literally has something for everybody, and for all occasions. And the prices are great!”

“What a discovery! This shop is at the back of the store complex and has everything in the way of quality kitchen tools. I was so happy to find a Spaetzle maker, the slide hopper over the flat grate that makes Spaetzle making a breeze! They have everything, things you never find like clothes pins, wash soap, every conceivable kind of basket just a wonderful place! Locally owned, the women working there are friendly and helpful. My friend wanted a good quality wooden clothes dryer - the ones you fold up when not using. We couldn't figure it out, so one of the gals came downstairs and showed us, and not only that, buggy-lugged the piece upstairs for us! You just can't find that kind of helpfulness these days! A MUST STOP!”

“PROS: Very beautiful place to go to. They major in quilts made from the Amish and their variety is plentiful. Prices are all good and the staff is very nice CONS: only street parking is available which can be scarce OVERALL: if you're walking on by I recommend stopping in here. You'll find this store interesting”
