Marilyn did a great job preparing my taxes, however, it was SO much money. As a single person, it cost me $350 to get my taxes done here. I won't be back next year, unfortunately. This has NOTHING to do with Marilyn, she was kind, informative, and quick. I just wish it did not cost so much.

Was supposed to get $4800 back they screwed up and I only got $3100 they filed a wrong name on my paper work and that name had owed money so they took my money, now I am filling an amendment with a private accountant I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN AN HR BLOCK AS LONG AS I LIVE AGAIN, and this is the 4th time an hr block has messed my taxes up, and I file one w2 and 1040 easy, not rocket science just wanted rapid refund, which I didn't get cause they had a totally wrong name on my taxes, last year they put wrong address, year before wrong ss numbers, and this year they didn't put any of my house upgrades that were over $30,000 dollars, don't use these people you will not get what ur supposed to, imagine if you knew like I did what your really supposed to get, there return sometimes I've seen can be off by 3 grand, and you pay $500 to have then get half of what your supposed to, no way, first do on turbo tax, then go there you will see a huge difference, Turbo tax charges $150 with a live agents help, very easy..Just be careful using this hr block, good luck everyone..PS.. also they put emerald car info in wrong and I couldn't Mac my money out for 3 weeks while I waited for my new card to be mailed.. so return took 8 weeks to get any of my money last year..UPDATE...TAXES DONE WRONG IRS SAYING NEED TO DO AMENDMENT as of March 1st 2024..so $800 dollars for mest up taxes..now taxes won't be returned to spring time... If you go here you deserve what you get. Should have listened to all the reviews..live and learn..

Had to amend my taxes because they didn't file right again, good thing I caught it now instead of after 3 weeks, they had wrong name on my tax paper work, and didn't put any of my deductions in taxes, GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK, I mean at $500 for 30 mins you should get a real tax pro that at least can put a name on your paper work right, I know at least 8 of my family members that will no longer go here, Im glad I saved them the time and trouble of an amendment on there taxes, again this year..

Will not return to H and R block. I find the tax professionals are starting to lack professionalism. The prices are too high and me filing taxes shouldn't give me more anxiety...

For the money I pay to have my taxes done, I'd think it be convenient to receive my refund on my emerald card. Not so much, I won't receive anything until 8 to 21 days which I wasn't told this prior. I will not be conducting business with this company next year. ?
