“This is a personalized gym setting. There is no office desk to deal with. Kadee, the owner, is accommodating to your needs, respectful, and easy to deal with. Everybody is friendly. Despite its small size, you have all the cardio and strength equipment you need to get a great workout. You don't have to deal with heavy foot traffic and fight over machines. Great gym and atmosphere!”

“I've been attending classes at Level Red since 2019 and love this studio. If you're considering, here is a quick breakdown:Classes: They offer an ample amount of options ranging between 30-60-90 mins from early mornings through the evening, which make fitting in a workout as easy as possible for you. The classes are intense with no minute wasted, but you're also welcome to go at your own pace and modify as needed.Teachers: They have a lot of instructors who each have their own style. Some are more advanced and quickly-paced while others cater more to beginners. The variety helps keep things fresh and challenging.Community: The studio makes great efforts to build a positive sense of community. Just watch their social media; they're constantly cheering on their students. The membership is also diverse, which personally makes me feel extra comfortable and welcome. The studio also sets fun monthly goals with a reward to keep you extra motivated and accountable.All in all, really can't recommend them enough!”

“Moved to Pittsburgh for a job and was devastated to have to leave my home CrossFit gym behind. After trying 6 other area CrossFit gyms, I can confidently say that CrossFit Athletics has the largest and best stocked facility. It accommodates large classes and I feel comfortable dropping in any time to work out, as I know I won’t be in the way of other programming. There is never a workout programmed that I can’t complete with the shared equipment onsite, which was shockingly an issue at many other gyms I dropped into in the area. Best of all the coaches are engaged and truly care about keeping the athletes safe. They’ve always met me where I was on a given day and allowed me to modify the workout to my needs and skill level. If I want to level up, they offer lots of clinics to practice skills-although many are during the work week and wouldn’t fit my personal schedule, I appreciate that they exist. For the skills I have down, the workouts are consistently challenging. At other PGH CF gyms, I’ve had the most uninterested instructors and have been reprimanded for modifying workouts, which defeats the purpose of group fitness. To make it short: if you are an athlete that wants to get stronger and responds to smart, informed, effective coaching, as well as appreciates a well-run facility, you have to choose CFA. There’s no better choice in PGH and I hope to be a member for as long as I’m based here.”

“Love Pittsburgh Fitness Project! My partner and I go here, it’s one of the most welcoming gyms I’ve ever been to. I never feel judged and am always given clear direction and education on the movements we are doing. Workouts are challenging but I can still move the next day. PFP primal and kettlebell on Tuesdays and Thursday are the best. Shout out to Jake who stayed late when we were delayed bc of traffic and led us through a great workout. Incredibly accommodating and caring gym community!”

“I joined this gym to get in shape and learn some kettlebell skills and I've got that and more! I've had the pleasure of taking classes with 3 of the coaches and they have all been friendly and professional. The workouts have been tough but the coaches always have ways to adapt the work to your body type and current fitness level. The people at the gym have great as well; it's a cool community of people who are looking to put in the work! Great gym, cannot recommend it to anyone looking to get or stay fit!”

“Truly a nice GYM. May not have a lot of weight selection as many other GYMs but for being able to come at any time of the day or night is a big plus. A true 24 hr GYM. I have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful staff members working at the front that know you from being a regular. Smile and courtesy goes a long way but must say today for the first time I felt angry at the tone and service received but will ignore it as everyone deserves a second chance . I hope the next time will be as it’s always been- the reason I come here and the reason I recommended this place. 5 star place but 1 star minus for the experience today.”

“Peg is a fabulous CPR trainer. I learned so much in little time. She made the class feel comfortable and was very straight forward on everything she taught us. She made sure I knew what I was was doing and helped me and corrected me when I needed it. I feel very confident about the CPR training I received today. “I love going here, and it's been a huge help with my flexibility. It's worth trying a couple of different people, as they have slightly different emphasis on the way they stretch you. Some of them have a physiology background (PT-in-training, etc), some have done a lot of dance, etc. Tyler has been fantastic for me, but find the person you work best with and stay with them for consistent results.My only complaint is that the membership system leaves a good bit to be desired. Two key issues:1) You are required to buy a 3-month package, and then it's a recurring subscription after that. Sometimes you only want a couple of stretches, and sometimes you want more.2) This "package" problem is compounded by the way the online reservation system works. You get your 4 "credits" per month, but you can't book in advance of the credit. The credits expire every month too, so they're basically only good for the month they are issued. This means if you get your credits on March 1st, you can't book anything until that day. Good instructors tend to book 7-10 days in advance, so there goes the first week of the month. The, of course, the credit expires on the 31st of march, so if you were trying to go once/ week every week, it's difficult to make that work. They should extend the credits so that they are good for 60 days, or let members reserve in advance.”

“My boyfriend introduced me to Raise after working with Ray for a couple of years, and I was nervous to get started - I had never done any weight training and had a messed up relationship with structured exercise after high school sports ?I have now been working out with Ray for 6 months, and my entire relationship with exercise has changed. He has an incredible ability to understand each clients’ capabilities and how to help them to reach their goals in a personalized manner. I enjoy going to the gym not only for the fun / challenging workouts, but also because the gym environment is so supportive and not toxic. Ray has helped me to lose 30 pounds so far, but more importantly, to improve my fitness in ways I never dreamed would be possible. I have already referred several folks his way and would recommend Raise to anyone, at any fitness level, who is looking to improve their health / strength / find a fun workout!”

“Only great things to say about F45 in the Strip District. If working out is something you struggle to find the motivation to do, definitely give F45 a try. It completely changed my outlook on working out and for the first time I understand why people enjoy it!I've gone to 3 sessions so far. Chase, Emily, and Jordan (trainers) made it the most welcoming environment which was a huge part of me coming back, since I'm typically timid walking into any gym. On top of all of this, I have never had such a great work out/ have never felt so great after a work out.10/10 recommend.”

“Based on my experience with Anthony and Mason at Harts Run Fitness, I can confidently say that they are excellent trainers who are dedicated to helping their clients achieve their fitness goals. I approached Anthony almost an year back with severe low back pain, labrum injury and hip impingement syndrome. I found his knowledge and expertise in fitness and exercise exceptional. Until then, my doctors and physical therapists were working on symptom control and planning to consider surgical options if it doesn't work, Anthony talked to me about making me stronger and working on my overall fitness and goals.He created personalized workout plans that catered to my specific needs. He also made me understand proper form and technique, which was essential for ensuring that I got the most out of my workouts. I am glad to say that six months down the line I felt much better and my symptoms were completely under control. “I joined Burn just a couple months ago and my original goal was to go 3 times a week, but I’ve been consistently going 4 times a week, which is way more than I’ve been to any other gym I’ve joined over the years. It’s never the same workout and I love that they revolve around stations, so you’re always moving and it makes the workouts go quick. The trainers are amazing!!! They learn your name on the first day and are always there to correct your form and motivate you the whole time. All of the members are so nice too and just want to help you meet your goals, whether it’s the high five at the end of an exercise or helping you on the pull up bars. I’ve really enjoyed working out there and with free child watch, I don’t have an excuse to miss a class!”
