Update: I went to a salon to get this fixed. My stylist thought I had box dyed my hair because the root color was so unnecessarily dark and harsh ("dense" as she put it) and because the color was so one-dimensional. 6 steps later, including foils, I *love* my ashy, light brunette hair. It has dimension and is beautiful. eBlow dry just is not the place to go for color. The stylist that fixed their mess said it was crazy that my hair felt healthier/softer *after* being lightened. She also said that putting a demi-glaze on was all I needed to achieve what I wanted in the first place. Avoid avoid avoid!I came here to dye my balayage to something close to my natural color. I wanted an ashy brunette and voiced my concern several times that I didn't want to go too dark, or chocolate/warm brown. I also cited the reason for doing this as needing less hair maintenance/not wanting to have to get toner all the time. Well, I ended up with chocolate brown hair that is way too dark and is nothing like my natural color, and she had to put toner on it-- so I'm back to needing the thing I was trying to get away from anyway!! I said a few times that it seemed too dark and she said you saw the swatch, it's really hard to match natural colors. Of course it's difficult, that's why I'm paying *hundreds* of dollars and voicing my concerns beforehand. If you don't think you can do it, you should say so. Also, the swatch seemed like I was picking a family of colors and there were some colors in the row that looked much better, so I thought I was making the right choice. My favorite salons' Instagrams are full of photos of women going from blonde balayages to natural looking, ashy brunettes. So I know it can be done-- this salon just can't do it. And the women spent several minutes discussing how to mix the color, which made me nervous, and I said that. I'm so bummed out, my hair looks terrible for my skin tone and I'm going to have to spend so much money to start even trying to fix this. The 2 stars are for how nice and welcoming the people here are. Outside of that, I wouldn't trust them for color. Picture: my natural color is on the left, the color I ended up with is on the right. Also, as a side note, the girl who did my color was very nice but she has a really aggressive shampoo technique that was pretty painful by the third round- when you're putting multiple rounds of chemicals on someone's scalp you shouldn't be dragging the wand or your nails over the scalp to rinse and you don't need to pull and twist so hard to dry. It wasn't relaxing at all.

Response to the owner: I know they thought I was going to dislike my color because it was a change, but I didn't want this dramatic a change- it is WAY too dark. If your stylists are telling clients that they've never had someone go from blonde to brunette and be happy about it, your stylists are doing something wrong. If Google didn't suppress the photos of negative reviews you would be able to see just how far off the mark it really is. I'd be happy to send you photos. I was very clear about my concerns and she literally made my hair EXACTLY what I said I didn't want, and both stylists gave me condescending explanations as to why this is what my hair HAS to look like if I'm going to be a brunette- wrong, I've seen it done well, they just didn't have the skill or vision to do it and should have said so. She also put me in a situation where I still need the exact same amount of maintenance, because I needed toner, because the tone of the color she put on my head was, again, exactly what I said I didn't want. A professional best consultation would look something like "I think to be ashy you're going to need toner, and if less maintenance is your goal, this might not be the best choice for you." My head looks like I bought a box of dye at the grocery store or like I'm wearing a wig because it's all wrong for my skin tone. Again, let me know if you'd like pictures. Thanks

I visited edry blow bar legitimately on a whim and on a Saturday during winter break from work when I had nothing to do. I had been noticing a lot of women with this textured style of highlights (which I later found was balayage) around downtown/work/socially. I called and got an appointment same day (which put me in a great mood) and met with Warda a couple hours later. She was very calm and helpful, she was also friendly.

The space is beautiful and clean. All of the products used smelled amazing! Cynthia was awesome. I've never had someone blow dry my hair so perfectly. I usually dread having my hair done but I will 100% be going back here. Recommending this place and Cynthia to everyone !
