“This place has a fresh great tasting fruit and produce. I shopped here for over 30 years. I buy from them as much as i can. I lived in blawnox and went here to buy everything i need because the product at the larger commercial stores is not any good. I was there yesterday. The staff are great. They are knowledgeable about what they sell and pleasant to be around. I talked with the owner's son about a product called Sorgrum which piqued his intrest, and he wanted to know more. They also support local businesses such as Russleton honey makers. If you want fresh produce, i recommend John & Jerry's produce”
“I love this store, I love the workers, and I looooove their prepared foods in the back! YUM! Got some potato salad, boars head lunch meats and cheeses, and a nice heap of their eggplant parm! Wow oh wow, you won't be disappointed. Also, gluten free? They have some gluten free raviolis and meatballs in their freezer section, along with other easy quick reheat dinners (not gf) ...look no further, this is your one stop shop to get your little Italy on! Fyi, their home made sausage is simply the best, and it's easy to cook in a crock pot with tomato sauce and peppers for game day, or any other occasion that you need extraordinary sausage for !”
“Great little store to go and find Different food items. If you are vegetarian or vegan this is also a good place to shop. I am neither but we do find a lot of cool items. You can grind your own peanut butter and you can grind your own coffee. There are some holistic items here as well and a lot of different teas.”
“I’ve never heard of this place I never knew about it and now I regret not having that knowledge. I was at my doctors office and they referred me to this place for lunch and I can tell you that they were dead on. It is amazing. I look forward to my next trip here And I will be trying to come more often than just with my doctors appointment. I don’t live anywhere close, but good food is always worth the trip.”

“Prices are definitely better than (for example) Giant Eagle for comparable products (e.g., chicken thighs being something like 40% less). However, the range of products is pretty limited (e.g., dried spices didn't include things like garlic powder, very limited produce, etc.).I'll go back for meats, but will definitely have to complete my shopping elsewhere on most occasions.”

“If you've seen documentaries about budget grocery, you're probably getting a fair idea that the way the world works now isn't ideal for a lot of service crews, including PHC Aldi. At the end of the day, the people make the place: The management has always been as helpful as available, the staff are kind and real, and I've never had a problem finding help or finding something at the store. Good stuff.”
“Great store, they have lots of products from Ecuador. Lady is her name, ( the owner) has amazing customer service. Since I am from Ecuador I understand and appreciate and know how to cook and eat Ecuadorian food. They have some Mexican products but it is an Ecuadorian store which made me so happy to buy many products that we only have there. If people would understand Ecuadorian food they will appreciate this store. I am making some hot sauce from scratch since they have tomate de árbol. I will bake some cakes inside something like a banana leaf ( Quimbolitos) because they sell the leaves to steam the cakes. They are so moist, soft and the leaf gives it a nice flavor. Hope many more people know about the store because just a few people know about it in Monroeville, PA.”

“Save-A-Lot is a medium-sized supermarket in Wilkinsburg it was Bill particularly to help the city residents in and around Save-A-Lot on the high-rise buildings that are located. They are the prices are sometimes better than the supermarket for particular items and they carry a variety of items that supports the community for which they serve prices are okay Services generally mediocre”

“I choose to support Golden Dawn because they are a small business and not a corporation. We always buy their meats then other things. They do try their best to please customers and they have been, even with the new owners. Prices are to be expected a little higher than bargain-off brand grocery stores. “A little pricey but that is a fact of life. Have no complaints actually i had a problem my last visit and it was my fault the gentleman that i talked to was very polite. I thought they forgot to put an item in my bag and he was going to give me the price of the item off my next visit. I call verona giant eagle and a peppy voice answered the phone here name was Jessica she went and looked for me she said they had 6 I asked her could she hold 2 foe for me would be there in 45 min.she said they would be service desk.she was very thoughtful didn't want them to sir out put in cooler in front of store.SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND AND PUT UP THE PHONE DIDNT HAVE TO PRESS THIS I R THAT THANK YOU JESSICA U MADE MY HUSBANDS DAY!!!!”
“Great prices and selection of products. I hate grocery shopping but this location has a Starbucks so it makes it much manageable. However I was there to get a small amount of dog food.lllll However, I guess you no longer have baskets .....covid maybe?? After searching around for a small cart or basket I ended up carrying 6 packs of dog food thru the store with a full coffee. Not an easy task. Then I had to wait in line for ever including the u-scan. If baskets are to hard to clean maybe give out bags or something like that. It was very difficult.”

“We go here usually at night when we walk, stop to grab snacks, candy and smokes! This is one of few places I’ve found local that have candy cigarette’s and Boston baked beans, I love this candy, also many choices of drinks, snacks, clothing!”

Whether it's the front cashier, pharmacy or the person bringing in carts, everyone is nice. I truly appreciate the job they do.”

“You won't find another market that matches the rich history, friendliness of owners, and quality of products. The owner Dave went out of his way to give my wife and I a tour of the place and tell us the history of previous owners and stories about Mac Miller. You can really tell he takes pride in taking over the place. It has a very homey feel and we both thoroughly enjoyed our Reubens in the "backyard". There's no doubt I will revisit”
