I bought a new dishwasher from Gerhard's and was charged more than I originally agreed to for installation. When I purchased the new appliance I pre-paid $159 for "dishwasher installation service" and $27.99 for a “dishwasher installation kit”. So, that’s $186.99 total for the installation service and the kit. To me that’s a lot of money considering the dishwasher itself was only $500, but I thought it was worth paying for the convenience of having Gerhard’s install the dishwasher for me.
Then, when the Gerhard’s delivery guys showed up to install the new dishwasher I was told that I needed to pay them an extra $110 (they asked for cash!) to wire up the new dishwasher. I felt like I was being taken advantage of. The Gerhard’s guys had already removed my old dishwasher and put it out on the sidewalk. My choice was to pay the $110 or let the guys leave me with a gaping hole in my kitchen and no dishwasher. Reluctantly I paid the extra $110 knowing that, surely the customer service folks at Gerhard's would make things right.
This additional $110 brought the total cost for installation up to $296.99 (Almost $300 to install a $500 dishwasher!). It took the delivery guys no more than 20 minutes to wire up the new dishwasher and then they were gone.
I contacted Gerhard’s customer service by email and telephone right away. But for more than 5 months they gave me the run around... The delivery department blamed sales. Sales blamed delivery and nobody would get back to me despite multiple promises. I kept calling and eventually made contact with a very nice woman in accounting who empathized with me after hearing my story. She tried her best to help me out, but to no avail.
I eventually decided that it wasn’t worth the time I was putting into trying to get someone to make me whole and gave up. I posted a review about my experience here on Google. And guess what... That got their attention! I received a phone call within minutes of posting the 1-star review.
The person who contacted me from Gerhard’s was promising to refund (a portion lol) of the installation fee on one condition. I had to take down my review. I should have known better, but I agreed to do that, took down the review and emailed the person who’d reached out a screen shot. A couple of days went by and... no reply. I emailed again. No reply. It’s now been a week and I’m officially cutting my losses and putting my review back up. I’m disappointed. I liked the idea of buying from Gerhard’s and supporting a family business instead of giving my money to a big box store. Oh well. I'll never purchase from Gerhard's again.

Rachael was super helpful and knowledgeable on our recent washer/dryer purchase. She thoroughly answered all of our questions and made sure we were comfortable with our decision before finalizing the purchase. Additionally she was not pushy in any way - which was definitely a refreshing experience!
Overall, she made the entire buying process easy and stress-free. Looking forward to visiting Gerhardts again and having Rachael assist with our kitchen renovation when the time comes.

First time using Gerhards, was a great experience. Bought a chest freezer, price was the same as the chains , delivery went smooth , drivers hauler away the broken unit. I would recommend them, we will be back.

We've been buying appliances from Gerhard's for more than 50 years. That says something right there. The people in the store are knowledgable and low-pressure. Delivery was prompt and the peole who installed were fast and cleaned everything up well. Just what we expected and have always experienced.

I worked with Christy from Gerhard’s in Ardmore after an old oven gave out. The service department came to my place to measure to determine what would fit in my space. Christy showed me a variety of models and makes and explained the advantages/disadvantages of each. I was very happy with all the service I received from Gerhard’s and Christy. Thank you Gerhard’s for making this process seamless!

I purchased a refrigerator at Gerhard's Appliances Ardmore. I like the choice of models and the convenience of filtering through their website, making the choice process easy. I went to the store and was treated with expertise and care. The fridge has been delivered and installed. I really like the delivery update messaging system, informing you precisely of the delivery window, making things smooth and stress-free. I like Gerhard because the customer service is very personal and efficient. Thanks!

Unfortunately, was sold a broken dryer as part of a laundry pair. Took about a week from delivery to get it working. Only good part of the experience was the knowledgeable repair technician. But, unfortunately delivery, sales, and installation are lacking. Will not purchase from Gerhards again.
