I brought a men's bracelet from Hermes and brought it here to get engraved for my soon to be husband as a wedding gift for our wedding in a few weeks. The jeweler and I discussed how I wanted the engraving laid out in a straight line with spaces across the bracelet. I was clear I didn’t want the copy stacked. When I picked it up, the copy was stacked how I did not want it, there was more then enough space for this to be in a line. See images, the engraving looks bad and all jammed into a small space. He told me the engraver did it that way because it would be hard to read in a line… im sorry, what? There is more space it a straight line instead of stacked. It is a rather large bracelet. Also, if your engraver says they want to do it differently, shouldn’t I have received a phone call and that should be a decision I make? I never received a call and there was no discussion. To top it off, they put some cleaning substance on it which discolored the surface. So not only was the engraving wrong, they used a product they should not have used and it ruined the piece. Shouldn’t the engraver know what should and should not be used on particular metals. No apologies for anything when I picked it up. And to wrap it up, then tried to charge me more then his original quote. Now I have a gift for my soon to be husband wrongly engraved and discolored. The lack of care or apologies for no communication and a ruined product this is so upsetting. I would not recommend this place for its customer service and lack of care oh and for doing a job that I had to pay for even though it’s completely wrong.

I had a ring re-plated and I am so happy with it. It was scratched, dinged, and the gold plating was almost entirely worn away. Wish I had a before photo to compare, but the after shows just how beautiful it looks now!

Liz & El Jewel Box is a nice little store in Ambler. They carry all types of jewelry and also do repairs. They buy old jewelry from you and gold and coins. Liz Black the owner is wonderful with customers and has been in the Jewelry business for over 30 years. Plus it turned out i know Mrs Black from her days in Montomeryville Mart. She"s very knowledgeable in jewelry and one of the nicest people you ever want to meet. Definitely recommend this store.
