Rented a post hole auger for mild clay small rock project, the machine (engine) worked great, however the 10” bit I got was junk, teeth missing and worn out, called in and they said they would set 2 more bits outside for me to use. Drove back and picked up the bits, tried them both 3 hours of work and only dug 2 feet of one hole. Had enough and went to tractor supply bought a 3 point auger for on the back of my tractor ( $700) which dug the holes with no issue in minutes. Brought the machine back to the store and told the employee that the bits are junk, broken teeth, missing teeth and one wouldn’t even accept teeth due to the bit being worn down past the tooth holder. The employee just srugged it off and said have a good day sir.
Will not be renting here ever again!
