Negative integers should be allowed. This place can kill you watch out they do not count meds properly!!! Shorted me twice in 3 months then said I was mistaken. then I had get meds late and feel horrible in meantime. Never again.

I have been using this pharmacy for at least twenty years since developing a medical condition in middle school. The staff have always been very helpful and tried to guide me through the complexities of insurance roadblocks if my doctor made changes, my job changed, etc. over the years. They have been a wonderful pharmacy to work with and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Terrible customer service and rude, minus some of the younger employees. The older workers here are very snooty and think they know everything and don’t care about customers and are very lazy. Who ever manages the staff should be ashamed of themselves. Treat people with respect, you aren’t above anyone. I hear nothing but complaints about this pharmacy and now I see why.

Worst pharmacy in town. The people working the counter are incredibly rude and aren't fit for the job. I regret ever going there as each experience was unnecessarily difficult and nobody even cares to help. Skip this place!

Very great pharmacy! They've never given me a problem with my medicine, and it always gets refilled whenever I needed. Super friendly staff is a great plus! I don't see myself changing pharmacies any time soon...

Literally the slowest pharmacy I have ever been to. Tell you it’ll be 25 minutes for a prescription, come back 40 minutes later and they tell you they haven’t started it and you’ll just have to wait. No line and no one in the drive through. When my physician sends in a script, the prescription is NEVER ready for at LEAST 24-48 hours after it is sent, unless you want to sit in the store and stare at them for 45 minutes. Seems to be the only way they’ll fill them on time.

I was trying to shop at this location on Sunday, June, 19, 2022 for their fried chicken. The website shows that department opens at 10 AM. I was there and no fried chicken was available yet. When a timeframe was asked the worker replied 30 minutes. So I decided to do some other shopping. I waited and was also getting other things in that area for the day. I headed back over to the fried chicken and still no chicken. The same guy was coming back in a side door from outside, saw me, turned away from me and was drinking his soda, water whatever. I walked away. Headed back over to the area again and still no chicken. A couple were there also asking about fried chicken and were told another 17-20 minutes. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I went to the register and scanned what I did have in my cart. Except I couldn't pay for the beer there. It had to be rung up at the register in that area. I explained to the woman There isn't anybody over there. I cashier that was certified to rung up beer etc was kind enough to ring up thd beer at the specified register for me. While over there another male that was also working in the fried chicken area said that my chicken was almost ready. I thanked him and said that's ok, I'm getting the chicken a somewhere else. Also, when I first inquired about the fried chicken I was asked how much I wanted, when I started to tell him, his response was oh no you have to place an order as least 2 weeks ahead of time. I will never frequent that location again!

Do not use Giant Eagle Altoona’s pharmacy! Had to wait a while for anyone to get up and come to the register. People behind us in line kept leaving because it took so long for anyone to come up to help us.
We were patient and when Misti finally came up, I tried to explain that I had my prescription transferred and was rudely interrupted. Didn’t think much of it at first until the interruptions kept happening. I don’t have insurance so I used an online service and had a doctor prescribe the pills I needed and they sent the prescription there. I was trying to explain this to Misti, but she wouldn’t let me get anything out as she repeatedly questioned that if I didn’t have health insurance then where did I order the prescription from…
I said the name of the company and gave her the discount card that the company told me to give to the pharmacist at the time of check out because you would get a discount on your prescription. She kept saying she didn’t know what it was with a pissy attitude and showed the man behind her the card, asking if he knew what it was. He said no and she said “she wants me to humor her and type it in”. I hadn’t said anything up to this point other than it was a discount card and I was absolutely getting mad with the way I was being talked to, and how she was talking about me.
I didn’t demand anything. A discount card is normal when you go to a pharmacy. There are many services out there that provide you with one. It’s not my fault she didn’t know what it was and wouldn’t listen to a word I or my fiancé were saying. She wouldn’t just tell us if my prescription was ready and my fiancé finally spoke up and asked if it was. We checked out but not without a few more snarky remarks from Misti.
I can understand having a bad day, but being rude like this to someone who transferred their prescription there and is a first time customer is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. I don’t appreciate being talked to the way I did and I plan on unfortunately transferring again. The staff in the pharmacy, especially Misti, hesitated to even help us and even walked away from us when we first got there. Not sure what the deal is with everyone’s attitude, but for grown adults it’s embarrassing. Don’t waste your time here!

Learned the hard way when we moved how great giant eagle is.. enough so we came running back. They're on it and despite always being busy they care about you and are timely. Won't try leaving ever again.
