I had absolutely no problem here at this spot. The staff are great people. Just watch out for customers like old white men asking you questions why are you there. But the hotel

Awlful experience last month. Stayed in a suite and the furniture had so many stains we could not sit. This place is still using Covid as an excuse to not clean rooms daily or I would expect clean the common areas because the elevator was filthy and so was the gym and laundry. Saw mice running around on two separate occasions. Once in the main lobby and another in the gym. Breakfast was ok. I am heading back to Altoona next month and definitely not staying at the Days Inn.

This past weekend, I took myself on vacation to Altoona for the Horseshoe Curve. The Days Inn was actually the second hotel I had called for information on price & etc. I'm pleased I did that because my stay here was over $60 cheaper compared to another hotel I called the previous night. So, 2 days prior to arriving in Altoona my reservation had been set up. After obtaining change from checking in at the lobby desk, I decided to tip the lady a couple bucks as a small extra token of gratitude for the arrangements...Especially because of the better deal I got from here than I would have by staying at another hotel in town for my vacation. The king sized sofa bed was pretty comfortable too. If/when I were to make another trip to Altoona in the future, I would take the consideration of a prospect going to the Days Inn again. The people here did help my vacation to be a pleasant time.

For breakfast, there was not just the same tired make it yourself waffle (if you want one it's there for you, I've eaten enough over the last 15 years) but omelets with peppers and sausage. Very much appreciated. The hotel was also done up in a very pleasant yellow and blue color scheme.Rooms: My room was well appointed and fairly large. Location was quiet and near restaurants. Highly recommended.

I love the location of this hotel. It's in a quiet area between Altoona and Tipton, perfect if you need to get a relaxing good night's rest. The rooms are beautiful and clean every time I've stayed. The one night shift manager ( can't remember her name) was wonderful. She is a former nurse and accommodates guests who are working at the hospital early by having the hot breakfast ready for them. The only reason I gave this property a 4 was because one of the front desk clerks I encountered was very unfriendly and did not seem to want bothered with a small issue I had.

Great spot if you're needing a place to stay while you set your kid up for Penn State -Uni Park! Although 40 min away, there's zero traffic and the view driving to Uni Park is SUPERB. Nothing like flat Texas. Gave the room 4 stars because of the humidity level, but other than that, it's great for the price. 75% cheaper than State College hotels during those key hot spot periods when prices get inflated.

Great overnight stop on our road trip. The room was a great price and it included a self service continental breakfast to fuel us up for the day! The staff were always happy and friendly and the room was clean. Would stay there again!Nearby activities: We visited the Allegheny Portage Railroad which was really interesting- they also have the horseshoe curve railroad however it was closed on a Monday when we visited.

Very nice, modern/newish hotel. Check in was easy and accurate. Pleasant worker to greet us.Room was bright and fresh. Two queens were far enough apart in a spacious room. Loved tge daffodil artwork. Rating downgraded for important feature: like rise toilet. Seat was so low that I could not get up. My knees were bent up 30 degrees as seat was about 14 inches high. (FYI standard chair is 19 inches). I had to use the ADA one in the lobby instead. Second design annoyances: tub was high. Had to work to get into and out as tub height was higher than toilet height. I am 5'9" so this is not usual, but ut was very visible.Overall very satisfied. Breakfast foods ran out, but good variety and okay taste. Weak coffee.Walkability: Not walkable. Nowhere to go except medical facilities across road.

I booked a room on a whim due to travel in bad weather and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was very satisfied. The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet, even on a weekend. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I would stay here again and I am very selective with hotels.

I would prefer 4.5 stars as there was a few small things that easily could have been better. The price for a nice clean comfortable room was great. The desk clerks were very nice. They have a sign that warns of a issue with stink bugs. This is a very rural area and these pests can be anywhere. This is not due to a not clean place like a roach but the amount of these farm destroying bugs looking for a comfy place to stay. Ok so you are aware of a issue, you warn us, but you have no answer to deal with the problem. We had 2 of these things on the top of the walls. We did not feel comfortable going to bed without removing them. I couldn't reach them and the only employee in the place was the lady at the desk. After some thought we decided to get a broom and a garbage bag to remove them. She swept them from the ceiling and then we had to find where the landed to collect them. A very simple answer would be a inexpensive stick vacuum with a long tube. Got a bug ? I'll be right up. No chasing or finding the critters. Just a thought. Also a toaster and some English muffins or bagles would be nice. The truth is we would stay here again. Very worth the money.
