The owner promised our deposit back, but his daughter, who runs the place is very rude and didn't want to refund us. Dad changed his mind and no deposit returned. Most reviews say they keep your deposit. She runs the business with her 2 years old there all day. What a shame.

After talking to the lot about time frame to take back vehicle I woke to the car being gone. Afterwards they kept harassing me refusing to give me a full refund of my deposit .

This place is a joke after you rent it they will follow you around if they don’t like it they will take it on spot when I said something he put a gun in my face I have to go file charges on him people might think it’s a joke right or wrong nobody deserves to have a gun out in their face I’m going to Perdue this till the end he has kept like 350 dollars of my money I don’t care about that I’m going to make sure he doesn’t get another gun permit it was justme and my wife we are both disabledI will let everyone see the reports after this is all done in court anyone can say anything but god as my witness he will pull a gun on you for a simple arguement

I wouldn't give these guys even one star after the way they treated my wife. They rented to her a van that left her broke down 3 hrs away, gave her a hard time about it, then hung up on her over the phone. One of the most disrespectful business owners I've ever seen in my life. You're in the customer service business and that's how you treat someone who is unhappy with their very first time renting? His actions speaks volumes to us and they will never get another dime from us. The good reviews are likely from them!!You will certainly get what you pay for if you rent from here. Bet!!

I will only deal with Chariot in Altoona compared to the other rental companies. Very friendly, clean, very reasonable and dependable. I've had no issues what-so-ever. Since my son joined the Marines and I've gone to see him or pick him up in NC, I've rented 3 cars and they have what you need. The Cross and Country van was perfect. more room than I needed but made it comfortable and enjoyable. The dvd was a plus with his sister's being in the back. Thank you and you know I'll be back. I will always recommend you. Thank you for another great worry free trip. ??

DO NOT rent a car from altoona Chariot, they stalked me and my aunt. she rented the car I took her jeep, we went to grocery store at martins in altoona, I loader the jeep up, then took her grocery bag to the rented car, she took off to sheetz I didn't know, she wanted me to drive it to sheetz put air in the half way flat tire,cause she was afraid to drive it that way shes 71 years old. they pulled in behind the car and with rollback took the car said they were watching us, I hadn't drove the car she did. omg was yelling at me in martins grocery store parking lot like a banshee, and took the car. omg said he was watching us, we did nothing wrong. wow she was taking the car home I was taking her jeep. wtf unreal.
