We have bought 3 Brand New Honda Pilots at Altoona Honda and we won't go anywhere else. Honda makes consistently reliable, efficient and comfortable vehicles and everybody at Altoona Honda from the Manager Dave Ainsworth to our salesperson China Kifer as well as the Finance and Service Staff make us feel like family everytime we walk through the door. The only people we don't know well are the Service Staff because quite frankly, other than oil changes, we never had cause to meet them.
I have to add to my previous review, Dave and China did it again, they gave us a deal we couldn’t refuse on a 2020 Pilot Touring. The 4th Honda Pilot we’ve bought at Altoona Honda and we couldn’t be happier. I tell all my friends to come here! Yep
Another update on my review: On February 29, 2024, we bought our 6th Honda Pilot from Altoona Honda. They once again made us an offer we couldn’t refuse but it doesn’t end there. In September 2024, we had our Pilot in Chicago on vacation and my wife noticed a chunk of rubber missing from the right front tire. I texted a picture of the tire to Dave Ainsworth and asked him what he thought. He said he wouldn’t chance it since we were away. He also told me we had a complimentary 12 month, 12,000 mile Assurant Vehicle Care warranty on our new Pilot that covers road hazards. Dave sent me the number for Assurant claims. There was a Honda Dealer (Bosak Honda) 3 miles away. Long story short, we pulled into the Honda dealer and within an hour, we were back on the road with a new tire and Zero (0) out of pocket expense. Dave even offered to cover the tire if the dealership wouldn’t honor the warranty. Now that’s what I call Customer Service when it matters most! Please consider Altoona Honda for all your vehicle purchases!

My nanny and 3 boys were 2.5 hours away from home when the engine overheat light came on so they had to make an emergency stop. Despite being booked, the service team took the pilot in, arranged a rental vehicle and had it fixed for them to pick back up on the way home. Technician went above and beyond making sure the problem had resolved itself before putting my nanny and 3 kids back in for a 2.5 hour drive. I cannot thank them enough!

Very disappointing. I bought a new car here 2 years and three weeks ago; I brought it in to get my 3rd of the 3 free oil changes they give you with a new car and I asked when I made the appointment at which time I was told yes this will be your last free oil change ; well it was not, apparently it was three weeks too late and they did not tell me LAST week on the phone when I scheduled this appointment so it cost me over $100
Up until this point I was quite satisfied with the service
Update:
Okay I got a call saying my next oil change will be free to make up for this however they did not call me back the beginning of next week as I was told they would when the parts arrive to schedule some warranty work. A month later I called and they gave me the excuse ‘the service manager had Covid last week’ he was supposed to call me three weeks before that to schedule this. When they finally did the warranty work they did not put paper mats on my floor or seats and my car was dirty when I got it back, I’m not impressed.

I recently took my Honda Pilot for a recall service in which they were apparently changing the electrical connectors in the radio and DVD Player. Prior to the service my radio and DVD Player worked perfectly fine. After the service my radio worked but the DVD Player no longer operated. I returned it to Altoona Honda again to be taken care of and now they tell me that it must just be a coincidence that the DVD Player just happened to quit working after the recall service and want $500 to replace it. Very Poor Service Dept. Would not recommend.

My wife and I had a great experience at Altoona Honda. Ask for Hamid, he was a wonderful salesman! He worked with us (while we had a weird financial situation) to get us a great deal on a new 2024 Honda CRV. At no point did we feel pressured to buy a car. We will be happy to do business with Altoona Honda in the future.

Sam certainly helped address this new Honda CRV owner’s confusion on dash and tailgate issues. He was so helpful and kind in walking me thru the problems. Sam definitely went above and beyond at the end of the day to lower my anxiety. Best best service I have experienced as a long time Honda owner. Thanks Sam for caring.

My lease was up on my car and I decided to sell it to Altoona Honda all because of the positive experience I had with Dave in sales. Dealerships can be intimidating, but Dave made it easy with his friendly attitude. He was very transparent and kept great communication throughout the whole process.
