“The Rose Barn in North Park has two floors, a kitchen, bathrooms, and tables and chairs for about 150 people. The building is older, so it could use some small repairs, but overall it is in good condition. It has heating and windows but no air conditioning. Outside are a parking lot and some picnic tables. The lake is across the street. People may rent the Rose Barn for events. The fee is higher for non-residents than for residents and is about a few hundred dollars per day.”
“Found Songbird Artistry online and purchased these candles for a corporate gift. We received them very quickly and they are all perfect! Highly recommend ordering online if you aren't local! Thanks Songbird Artistry!!”
“Every time I go here it is such a treat. The cabbage pastrami is out of this world. The broccoli chicharrones and hummus fritters - also unmatched. The service is so down to earth and friendly. They have AMAZING non-alc cocktails. I truly try to go here as much as possible!”
“Nice theater. You can purchase drinks and snacks at the theater. The I Loathe Lucy performance we saw was fun! This was our first time at this theater. I would purchase different seats next time because the platform seating can block your view if sitting to the left or right of the platform.”
“Went on the tour. I recommend all Steelers fans take this tour. The price for tickets was great for the experience. You get to see the locker room and you get to be down on the sideline.”
“One of my favorite things to do is go to the movie theater! At this one the seats are extremely comfortable and the cost is affordable. I'd go more often if they're were movies to my liking.”
“Our church group attended an event here. Everyone had their very own section of the table, and everyone had the tools to create what they pre-selected to make. The instruction was very well-done, and the creativity was left up to each one of us. The people teaching us there gave good tips for creating beautiful projects. I’m sure that the projects we created will be treasured for years to come. We even were allowed to have pizza delivered to the venue to enjoy. This was a really nice time. I enjoyed it.”
“Fantastic place! My sons and I have been going to TopGolf for several years and have always had a great time. It’s a good place to go but… we just went to XGolf and we had the best time! Yes they have a different format and TopGolf is more geared towards kids. XGolf was just better. And the gentleman that was working was awesome. We played the front nine at Oakmont and got our butts kicked but holy cow was it a good time. Trust me! Check it out and reserve your time because this place is awesome!”
“As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of wedding venues. Edgewood Country Club really has a stunning location. The golf course views are the perfect backdrop for couples photos and the ballroom has great lighting and high ceilings. Getting ready areas are also very spacious. The staff is friendly and communicates well with vendors.”
“My husband and I had our wedding at the Art Room in fall 2023. We had a wonderful experience. Both Kirsten and Bre were amazing to work with from before we signed our contract through our big day. Our guests raved about the venue and how unique it was. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our day!”
“Despite the bright panels on the outside, Irma Freeman Center for the Imagination is in many ways a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of place. Even after having been past it on foot several times, I often had fairly little idea what it was. My first impression was that it might be a community center for disabled or destitute youths, and therefore somewhere that serves a valuable cultural function but in which I have no place. I was very incorrect in this assumption, as I found out later. One day, while the doors were open, I walked in. I was treated to a private, minimalistic indie gallery featuring work by local artists. At the time, the exhibit focused principally on abandoned sites in the Pittsburgh area, with photographs giving an eerie portrait of the region's history. It was as though the photographers were archaeologists documenting recent times that have fallen into obscurity and ruin. This is of course not the only exhibit: Irma Freeman's collections, ever changing, deal with a number of different artists and themes. Gift shop at the front door and opening night receptions every First Friday of the month. Strongly recommend!”
“We come for the Home and Garden show every year and always have a good time. The layout is simple and the concessions are decent. Parking for large events gets filled quickly but there are plenty of other lots nearby. Occasionally traffic gets congested underneath and can cause delays, but the street underneath is an easy drop off/pickup point”
“Thanks to the museum for hosting my Navy retirement ceremony on April 7, 2023. To say that Angela Tomlin and her staff helped make the event a success is an understatement! The entire museum’s hospitality was incredible. Any/everything we asked of them was handled almost instantly, and Angela and her team were a TREASURE to work with! Everyone in attendance were astounded by the 3rd floor ballroom, and I’m still beyond humbled for the privilege.”
“Love going here for the brown bag series. I’ve enjoyed every show I’ve attended. A great way to ease your way into a full opera or to try to see if you like it. This place is family friendly and great for all ages. Check it out!!”
“Beautiful place, we attended a wedding. I did not know that Pittsburgh was ever spelled without the h for a brief time until I saw the engraving in the main entrance of the building.”
“Beautiful location to visit. I had an issue with the pillow cases and the mattress cover not being cleaned but once I brought it to a manager's attention it was dealt with immediately. I wish I had gotten her name but she was a middle aged black female, with shoulder length dark hair, working the day shift, kudos to her. The females working the front counter were just as pleasant.”
“My wedding was at The Mayernik and it was a close to perfect as it could possibly be. Our Wedding Coordinator - Debbie - was so patient, helpful and really made sure our day went off without a hitch. I sent her so many emails leading up to the big day and she was always so responsive and accommodating. She's just the absolute best. The venue itself is beautiful, they have wonderful preferred vendors for catering and a list of vendors they often work with in the event you need suggestions. Our wedding and reception were inside with roughly 107 guests. There is plenty of space with a separate bar area and a great space for the ladies of the bridal party to get ready. Cost is incredibly reasonable with lots of optional add-ons (twinkle lights are a must) and flexibility. My guests (and husband and I), loved this space. I'm sad our day is over but so thankful for the beautiful memories from that venue!”
“We had a great time having our wedding reception at the Hampton Event Center.Pros:- Lori is very nice and provides lots of helpful tips and suggestions for making sure the event goes smoothly. As people who hadn't planned a wedding before, having her as a guide made things a lot easier.- The decorations were quite pretty. I especially liked the Christmas decorations for our December wedding.- The synthetic flowers look almost real. Don't fret about looks if you want to save money on flowers.- The tablecloth, runner, and napkin selection is diverse with some good colors.- The table runners are very sparkly and pretty to look at.- The bartender provided for events is really friendly.- Being able to have an all-inclusive package is very helpful, especially for us coming in from out of town. It makes preparations a lot smoother. Not having to hunt around for a cake, flowers, caterer, etc., is very nice.- The layout of the hall is very efficient and organized.- Having card boxes and gift tables ready for use is very helpful.- Being able to order cases of craft beer that you can take home after the wedding is great.- Although many people didn't use it at our wedding, the offers for hotel discounts for guests coming in from out of town are very helpful.- The location of the venue, being in the North Hills, would be very convenient for most weddings.- The gazebo is great for photos.Cons:- The easel they provided for seating charts is unstable/broken. I would consider bringing your own system for your seating chart.- Some of the dinner sides are a bit bland, mainly the mashed potatoes and green beans.- Lori can sometimes be a bit slow to respond to emails, but I think some of that can be attributed to the workload she has.We definitely recommend that you consider Hampton for your wedding reception.”
“Amazing ballet performances and also watched a form of jazz dance. The theater is not too big nor is it too small. The audience members primarily are family and friends which makes the night there that more special. Highly recommend visiting and supporting the performers.”

620 William Penn Pl, Pittsburgh“I did not stay here. We stopped in for a drink and dinner on a Saturday night. The spaghetti dinner and appetizers were great! The drinks could have been stronger.”
“An absolute amazing experience! The best field trip I have ever chaperoned! Extremely interactive and engaging!!! I would recommend the Sherwood Event Center to anyone!!!”
“We happened to be walking by around lunchtime and decided to try the fish fry. We both got fried shrimp dinners, with pierogies, coleslaw, and haluski. Everything was great and the folks there are very accommodating (since we'd never been there before and we're confused!). And they take credit cards. The fried fish sandwiches looked good too. And large. The social hall had a lot of tables set up to dine in and a bar to sit at as well.”
“Great little venue. So pretty inside! We were here to see an artist we know and like perform. Apparently they have shows here frequently throughout the year. There’s tables set up and you can bring your own food and drinks. They were also selling snacks like chips and pop. We had a great evening listening to music!”

132 Laurel Oak Dr, Sewickley“I play here once a year at a golf outing. The course is always in great condition. It's enjoyable to play, and I look forward to playing here each time I go.”
“Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, personable, and seemed genuinely happy to be doing what they're doing.Craftsmanship is on point; Sturdy and heavy duty. They make me want to paint so I can work with them more often.”
“If you enjoy any type of making or crafting or decorating, this place is AWESOME. It's basically a thrift store for creativity! You can save SOOOOOOO much money by going here for supplies. It's a great place to pick up inexpensive supplies for any craft or project you can imagine. They always have something different and fun!!!”
“Cannot recommend A Party Place Rentals enough!!! Everyone I worked with extremely accommodating and helpful. I had to reschedule my return of rented tables to a later day, and everyone was extremely flexible and happy to work with my schedule. Such great staff - could not be more satisfied!! Will be coming back for all of my rental needs!!”

1 Windmere Rd, Pittsburgh“The Shannopin Country Club has a beautiful golf course and banquet hall. I did holly ball 2023 Christmas party for the members. This place has great staff and they are very friendly.”
“100% recommend! Me and my husband had our wedding here 8/13/22 Lois and the rest of her team at the four season banquet house were amazing!!! Every step of the way Lois helped us make sure we did not forget any details and offered many helpful suggestions. Policies are super great to work with as well as we were able to personalize so much of our big day ( had our dog at our wedding, a food truck, ect! ) throughout the day Lois and her team even took pictures to help us remember our big day! This was so thoughtful as we will not get all of our professional ones back for some time. Some of the ones she took ended up being some of our favorite! At the end of the night her and her team even helped us clean and pack up everything! We can’t wait to come back again some day!! Thank you for helping us in our fairytale”
“It was used for a wedding reception in the winter months. Wedding decorations were added by the family, including lights, flowers, candles, wine bottles at each table, which made a great atmosphere. (The venue without the extras family provided is just a building.) Very roomy though. Two floors. However, two small sets of steps take you downstairs to the first floor restrooms, and to the food/kitchen area, which might be difficult for some (if you are using both floors for your celebration).”
