The Bank managers at 6 out of 8 branches from the Lehigh Valley to Philly would not allow me to deposit a personal check into my adult son's account. I had his full name, address and phone number but was told that is not enough. They told me I must have his full account number to prevent fraud. That is the new policy. I used to deposit my employees' paychecks weekly at the drive through of 3 different banks for 6 drivers. I would never ask for my employees' account numbers and they should not give them to me. I was able to do this with only their name and usually their address but not always. I just don't see how me knowing their account numbers in order to make deposits prevents fraud?
