They are professional and thorough
The diagnostics that they perform on your vehicle and how they include photos with very detailed descriptions on what needs to be done and should be done is extremely helpful for understanding your vehicles needs and budgeting

Service like Schearer’s is hard to find these days. Though they specialize in foreign luxury vehicles, they take as much care of me and my old Honda accord as any other customer. The thoroughness of their transparency is something all industries of service should thrive for. And they truly want what’s best for you and your vehicle. Schearer’s is the only auto service I trust. The communication between myself and the shop was timely and frequent as what was needed for updates and decisions. Thank you Schearer’s for your efforts to provide an experience.

I took my car in to get an evaluation and oil change. I was so incredibly happy with how well Schearer’s looked over my vehicle and took such great care of it. Both Priscilla and Samantha were amazing to work with on the business side of things. There’s no one else I would trust more than them!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my car! I will recommend them to anyone I know.

I am very surprised by the number of 5-star reviews given the negative experience I had.
I came into the shop with a modified VW Golf Sportwagen TDI that would occasionally go into limp mode. After having Schearer’s diagnose the issue, they said the turbo actuator needed to be replaced. They informed me that the turbo actuator was not a replaceable part, and the entire turbo needed to be replaced. They quoted me thousands of dollars for the turbo replacement. I declined further service and paid for the diagnostic fees.
I took the car to a shop specializing in TDI engines. The shop told me that both the turbo and turbo actuator functioned perfectly, and the turbo actuator is a replaceable part if it needed to be replaced. I researched this myself and found the turbo actuator for less than $200. The shop suggested that the issue was most likely related to tuning and advised me to ask my tuner to retune my ECU.
I definitely don’t recommend this shop. They won’t install customer parts for insurance reasons, and I was misinformed numerous times.

I was very happy with my service here t Schear's. I encountered several members of the staff dropping off and picking up my car for service and all were very friendly and helpful. That good old customer service is just so hard to find these days and much appreciated! I had confidence in the work that they did and the price was much more reasonable than the dealership. Kudos to Schearer's!

First time customer. Needed some routine maintenance done ontop of some issues they found and I was looking for a closer euro mechanic. Schearer's provided great service! Samantha and Kiley were so kind! Will be back.
