Hertz rental's abysmal service left me stranded, utterly helpless and in tears. Despite pre-paying and diligently following all instructions provided, my evening turned into a nightmare of wasted time and mounting stress. The desk attendant's rudeness and cold demeanor bordered on intimidation, as she flippantly flung a pamphlet across the counter when I requested the billing contact for a refund, because she wasn’t able to do anything about it at the counter. (WARNING: Even if you pre-pay a reservation and THEY deny the car, they are not able to cancel the reservation at the desk. You have to contact customer service. Her dismissive attitude, short responses, and eye-rolling only added insult to injury in an already upsetting and stressful situation. After leaving the counter, I then spend nearly an hour on customer service, most of it was the initial waiting and then an extra 20 mins for them to “pull up the file.” After finally getting to speak to someone and cancel the reservation, I asked to share my feedback on the frustrating and costly experience, and she said I’d have to contact customer service. I told her that I thought that’s who I was talking to, and she said no it was a different department. I said, “ok, can you please connect me with that department?” She said she could not. I’d have to call directly. I asked for the number, and she gave me the exact number that I had dialed to reach her. I asked her what department/extension I needed to hit, because the extension I dialed to connect with her seemed like the logical one to follow again. She said to dial 5. When I called the line, that extension did not exist, so I can only assume it was an error on her part or a strategy to avoid the feedback and end the call. Our entire evening was squandered on futile attempts to secure the car we had pre-paid for, only to be met with indifference and even intimidation and aggression. This experience not only cost us valuable time and energy but also necessitated an hour-round trip to the airport with nothing to show for it. Hertz's complete lack of accountability and customer care is truly shocking. Clearly it’s pervasive, as no one seems to care or feel any level of accountability. How do companies like this even survive? A zero-star rating would be too generous for such a debacle of service.

Car Renters Beware. We had to do a early morning return and drop the key at the counter. We just returned home to find a charge for 3 gallons of gasoline. I filled it up and my wife and I confirmed we turned it in with a FULL tank. The invoice stated 82% full, the gauge was pegged. I will never rent from Hertz ever again. They just lost a Gold Plus Rewards President's Circle Member.

I had a great experience at Hertz today. Tessa was terrific. There was a problem with my reservation, and she worked hard to resolve it. I really appreciated her help, as it was a busy holiday season. I use this Hertz counter often, and I always get great service from the team here. Thank you!

Zero stars if I could, absolutely horrible service.Having rented a car following every policy mentioned on their website, the location staff denied me the car as the car was booked on my friends credit card which I had in my possession, completely authorized.I had done a similar rental in New York and I had absolutely no trouble there.Now they claim to have a new policy listen nowhere about how the car cannot be rented on someone else's card and your license.Hertz is absolutely the worst service as the customer service and the staff gave absolutely no accountability, claiming their policies should be known even if it's not on the website.Even if I had to use my debit card an airport branch needs a return flight ticket to authorize that.So I was left with no option, stranded.Everyone should just look for other options rather than take services from these places, because you may not be a victim but others are, and they're doing it.

Trust me save yourself the headache and frustration. Your time and patronage should be valued but it is not. Reservations??? Hah, what a pointless process. My pick was set for 10am , here I am 2 hrs later with no car still, the car they tried to give me was stink and dirty with a rough idle. This place is either under staffed and/or very unorganized. Ppl on business and vacation should not ruin their time by dealing with this location. You've been warned! I have to be honest the stuff was very nice and as helpful as they could be

Website hours state 10am to 10pm. After driving 8 hours to return a car and arrived at 9:20pm nobody was there. I asked the employee at the Budget counter and they told me Hertz closes at 9pm or “they leave at 9pm”. So, either they leave early or the website is wrong. Either way, that’s bad communication for travelers who rely on accurate information and good service.

They hire ppl off the books and they give their employees the items you leave behind and then tell the customers there was nothing found. The manager/ owner and their family treat their workers horrible putting them at risk. I already advised several workers to call the department of labor. It will suck to be you when that adult investigation comes from the irs and how many taxes you will owe and the department of labor sees the injustice being done to workers. Smile to the cameras

Always understaffed, overpriced and have a bad customer service. The cars are good, but the wait time can be an hour or longer to pick up and 15-30 minutes to drop the keys off.

It's depressing when you can't rent a simple economic vehicle to get back & forth with a debit card. If I could give less than one star I would. Not everyone has a credit card on hand. I'm not praising any other rental companies at this location either they all are guilty of refusing to allow one in need to rent a vehicle without a credit card. Locations at airports in Florida State don't hassle one to rent without a credit card. I hope this company & the other companies at this location or anywhere else in Pennsylvania State continue to lose business, because of this simple fact.

If I could give 0 stars I wouldI have a confirmed reservation for today for 1030 am pick up booked directly with hertz and arrived for my pick up and there were no cars available. Now we I am late for multiple business meetings. I went to go book with any car rental on 3rd party and hertz is still coming up as available. I’m at ABE location and rep was not helpful at all.
