Been trying to call for a few days. No one answers the phone! Why would an airport car rental place close at 5pm on a Saturday. That is absurd!

I was charged an extra $95 because the manager, Christine, failed to do my job. I returned a car on 7/18 in the morning and went in to get the receipt. The manager told me I needed either the car keys (which the attended outside had already taken) or the contract )which I had at my home) that I could not get a receipt. I told her they had looked up my account before using my name, and she said they couldn't search that way, but she said, "Don't worry, I assure you we will send you a receipt." Later that night, around 1145pm, I got an email receipt from them saying that I had kept the car for an extra day. I returned the next day with the contract explaining the situation, and the guy asked if I could corroborate my story with a video (are you kidding me). So I asked him the manager's name if she was there, and if he was calling her. She walked in. She then told him I did return the car, and they saw it was not closed out on time, and they made a note to change it. After making the note in their system, I asked them if I could get a receipt showing I did return the car on time, and he still said I couldn't get a receipt, but they would email one that day or the next with the correct one. This was one of the most unprofessional situations I have ever had.

After reserving vehicle a week prior, called the same day to say they have no vehicles, now becomes my problem to find one.

This Hertz rental was a complete mess. I have no idea if my charges are correct and cannot get a receipt. There are zero employees to receive the rental returns. Since this is largely the reason my flight was missed, I 100% blame Hertz for this. I would complain in person but again, that would require the lot or the counter to be manned which it is not.
I wish I would have kept the car and drove instead of my flight bus being missed.
Returning it to a different airport would have been the same level of consideration I have come to expect from Hertz.
I wish I could give zero stars. What a joke.

Booked a car online got to the airport when they found out it was being returned to a different location they did not have any cars!! Person at the counter offered no help and made it out to be my fault that I booked online!

Pamela. the girl at front desk was so Help .she went above and beyond to provide us an outstanding experience.althought we arrived near closing time she provide the most professional help..I'm so glad to rent with Hertz
And the vehicle were in like new clean condition

Horrible experience at this location. I came to pick up my two week rental. They gave me two options: a beat up old Mitsubishi Mirage or an electrical vehicle. The beat up option didn’t feel safe for long drives, and I got the rental for a long road trip so I opted to try the electric vehicle never having driven one before. They gave me NO INFO on how to charge it. It came with 95% charge on it. I couldn’t find anywhere in the area I was staying to charge it. It’s day one and it’s already a hassle. I am so disgruntled with Hertz. I chose them because they’re supposed to have nice, clean, modern cars, not old beat up junkers with the bumper fallen off or a forced electric rental!

Hertz there in Allentown PA was very accommodating. I spoke with Heather and she was friendly, helpful and informative. I tried to rent a car from 'another' car rental company and they had lies as to why they couldn't rent me a car. Hertz was fast and economical for my one way trip from PA to NC. I will be a return customer with Hertz they have no craziness with them as the 'other' did. Thanks Hertz.

Hertz rental's abysmal service left me stranded, utterly helpless and in tears. Despite pre-paying and diligently following all instructions provided, my evening turned into a nightmare of wasted time and mounting stress. The desk attendant's rudeness and cold demeanor bordered on intimidation, as she flippantly flung a pamphlet across the counter when I requested the billing contact for a refund, because she wasn’t able to do anything about it at the counter. (WARNING: Even if you pre-pay a reservation and THEY deny the car, they are not able to cancel the reservation at the desk. You have to contact customer service. Prepare for a LONG wait and the run around if you call. They also cannot issue a refund at the desk. You have to contact customer service. Prepare for a LONG wait and the run around if you call.) Her dismissive attitude, short responses, and eye-rolling only added insult to injury in an already upsetting and stressful situation. After leaving the counter, I then spend nearly an hour on customer service, most of it was the initial waiting and then an extra 20 mins for them to “pull up the file.” After finally getting to speak to someone and cancel the reservation, I asked to share my feedback on the frustrating and costly experience, and she said I’d have to contact customer service. I told her that I thought that’s who I was talking to, and she said no it was a different department. I said, “ok, can you please connect me with that department?” She said she could not. I’d have to call directly. I asked for the number, and she gave me the exact number that I had dialed to reach her. I asked her what department/extension I needed to hit, because the extension I dialed to connect with her seemed like the logical one to follow again. She said to dial 5. When I called the line, that extension did not exist, so I can only assume it was an error on her part or a strategy to avoid the feedback and end the call. Our entire evening was squandered on futile attempts to secure the car we had pre-paid for, only to be met with indifference and even intimidation and aggression. This experience not only cost us valuable time and energy but also necessitated an hour-round trip to the airport with nothing to show for it. Hertz's complete lack of accountability and customer care is truly shocking. Clearly it’s pervasive, as no one seems to care or feel any level of accountability. How do companies like this even survive? A zero-star rating would be too generous for such a debacle of service.

Car Renters Beware. We had to do a early morning return and drop the key at the counter. We just returned home to find a charge for 3 gallons of gasoline. I filled it up and my wife and I confirmed we turned it in with a FULL tank. The invoice stated 82% full, the gauge was pegged. I will never rent from Hertz ever again. They just lost a Gold Plus Rewards President's Circle Member.

I had a great experience at Hertz today. Tessa was terrific. There was a problem with my reservation, and she worked hard to resolve it. I really appreciated her help, as it was a busy holiday season. I use this Hertz counter often, and I always get great service from the team here. Thank you!
