We utilized the services of their partner, Dr. Giles, several months back. While we had no issues with the euthanasia itself, we found Dr. Giles to be incredibly unsettling. She behaves as if she has Asperger's and has no real comprehension of human emotion. First, she brought her children along, who would later ride all day with our deceased dog in the truck. Imagine someone doing this with the body of someone's husband or mother. Respect the dead. Second, she walked into a room of sobbing, incredibly distraught people and behaved as if she was making small talk with a neighbor at the supermarket. Third, she made no effort to ascertain whether our dog was even sick. He was of course, but it's incredibly unethical that a vet would walk in and kill someone's pet without so much as a query as to whether the dog is actually sick. Dr. Sam (a competing mobile vet), for example, will not euthanize a pet unless she verifies the pet is actually ill. All in all, while she did perform the service she was paid to perform, her bizarre demeanor is very off-putting and even more so during a time of incredible loss and mourning.
