First time taking it to Lincolnway. Car was overheating after driving 20 minutes or so. I told them it had a new thermostat. I was told their techs can't take the cars out on the road so they went straight for changing the water pump and timing belt. $870. Days later, it was still overheating. Took it back. The owner took it out that time. They changed the temp sensor. $97. Got it home, still overheating. I took it to Forry's and the guy flushed the heater core. $120. Wish the cheaper options could've been explored first.

Got an enhanced inspection done here. These guys were the only ones to fit me in through a 5 day window, every other place near adams county that does these inspections told me it would take around a month to do it. Picked up and my car and noticed that a rattling sound had disappeared, chuck went out of his way to reaffix my heat shield. Also, it passed the inspection with flying colors. Point is, these people are honest and trustworthy. I can’t remember a single time my car has ever passed an inspection without them telling me it needs at least something. I originally had to come here for a blow and go. All around frustrating experience - they are just the middle man and choose to stay out of knowing anything about it.Not bad - frustrating. But apparently that’s anywhere you go for those things…This experience is why I don’t rate it 5 stars.Don’t sling attitude here. The person up front is quite nice but can be unprofessional if you’re an asshole…you’ll get your feelings hurt like I did.I had a different regular mechanic until he tried to double charge me. Came here. These people are my new “mechanic / car guy.” Reasonable people. Reasonable prices.There were some things I would fix on my own but have the mechanic diagnose first. Guy hasn’t taken more than 30 minutes yet to drive and diagnose. Even though they’re mechanics…they know mechanics are expensive and still try to save people money at their shop.This is the type of place car drivers dream of. Scott and Dave have gone out of their way to help save me money when possible. Probably best bang for your buck as far as a mechanic is concerned.Services: Vehicle Inspection

I purchased a car a year ago and am just recently finding out everything that's wrong with it. I've taken my car to Lincolnway probably 4 times in the last 2 months and I wish I could give them 10 stars. They've done everything from inspection to a new transmission in my car. Everyone who works there is friendly, fun to talk with, and explained everything to me in a way that was understandable. They work fast and efficiently every time. They called me before they did anything that would cost me or that would be more than what I expected. They are very reasonably priced and have saved my bank account and my car. As a woman who has been to other places that try to rip you off because they think you don't know any better, I swear by Lincolnway. I really can't say enough good things about this place and the awesome people who work there. I will never go to another mechanic again.
