second time coming to cash in about 2 dollars in cans and bottles and it jas taken me over 3 hours to accomplish this the last time i was here. am here now and it has ao far been 4 and a half hours to get about 2 dollars worth of cans and bottles done. this is unacceptable. i have went in and called them from my phone about 16 times now and they STILL HAVENT SENT ANYONE OUT HERE!! I just cant believe im still here. i would rather get on the bus and go to beaverton and cash them in. i would probably get it done and be back at home faster then waiting for one of their lazy employees to come out here

This store really needs to have some reorganization. There are never enough checkers, The bottle area is never working, annd or they shut it down because they don’t want to deal with it. Employee’s always have terrible excuses for the un customer service they show. It’s apparent management is trying to cut cost not having enough employees on, and the self service not working at times, or so crowded due to not enough checkers. It’s a shame that our local grocer is in this disarray. I would prefer to drive further and be treated like they appreciate your patronage.

It's a good grocery store I love the layout The only problem is is getting out of that place and going south it's horrible. And I'm surprised that the city hasn't fixed it.

I was shopping at this store on Friday 4/5 when I witnessed something extremely disturbing. I walked out the door by the deli, and was waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up outside the door. Once outside, I saw a kid (mid 20s maybe) walking toward the door. Well a heavy set man with a red beard ran up behind him, grabbed him, pulled him back inside, and started yelling and screaming that he was a thief. The kid was understandably freaked out and told the guy he didn't steal anything and to feel free to pat him down, which the guy did....and found nothing. The kid was upset and confirming to the man that he found nothing and he wasn't stealing. In that moment, the bearded man grabbed the kid by his shoulders and threw him up against the doors VIOENTLY, and continued to scream in his face until the kid got free and left. It was horrifying seeing someone get assaulted by a Safeway employee, but I was scared and waited to get home to call the manager about my concern. While telling the manager what had happened, she informed me that their security is a third party not associated with Safeway, but was not allowed to touch the customers in that way. She assured me she would speak to his manager about his actions.
Today, 4/9 I went back into the store and was terrified when I saw the same bearded man pacing back and forth in front of the store. I do not understand why the security business or Safeway would allow that man to physically assult a customer that was obviously not even stealing anything. It's scary to think at any time that man could snap and hurt someone else, maybe worse next time. I've seen similar behavior by security at the Safeway in keizer as well! In no way is it okay for them to be assaulting people. Violence in that way can only lead to bad things, and will never solve any problems. That man should be FIRED! be aware of him for your own safety!! He is short, maybe 5'6, heavy set, has a ponytail with braids, and a big red beard. Absolutely unexceptional behavior.

Why Safeway do you advertise on the Friday frenzy but never have enough in stock and will not give rainchecks??? This has happened many times and has left a very negative opinion of this store. I almost can't stand coming here and my visits are getting less and less.
