Until I read the reviews of this store, I didn't realize that Sonny at this store has a habit of discriminating against Asians. Unfortunately, I suffered racial discrimination from him today! When I checked out, I showed my email and phone number, but Sonny claimed it was a fake email number. I was curious as to why he would say such a thing, and then he asked for my real name and home address. As a foreigner, Sonny took advantage of my limited English skills and lack of knowledge of American laws to bully me. This invasion of privacy made me uncomfortable. After I read the reviews, I realized that Sonny used to do this kind of thing frequently. When I showed the coupon via text message, Sonny insisted that the coupon must be presented by mail. As a general manager, I don't understand whether Sonny doesn't know the basic method of getting coupons or is deliberately making things difficult for me. After I told him that the coupon can only be received via text message, he insulted me and called me an idiot. I couldn't stand it anymore and I argued with him! The most ridiculous thing is that he called the police and Woodburn management, pointed out that I was yelling in the store, and then kicked me out in front of the police and Woodburn and banned me permanently. Sonny is a racist who abuse of power

I had a very unpleasant shopping experience on May 6th this year 2024 at the Polo Ralph Lauren Outlet store in Woodburn, Oregon. I want to share this because I’m hoping no one else will experience this.
It’s been a while since I’ve gone that store. I went on 27th 28th in April and then went back again on 6th May. I bought over 10 items and as I was leaving the shop, the manager Sonny Ayala came over and yelled at me in front of everyone in the store. He basically said that I messed the clothes up and that if I do this again, I’ll be banned from the store.
I was very confused and felt like he was targeting me because I’m a small Chinese woman. This is an unacceptable behavior. I’ve also recorded his arguing with me at the end but was too stunned to record anything when he first approached me. There was another person in charge at the time, but she never said a word of apology for the unfair treatment I received. He made me feel like I was a bad person, except I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. I filed a complaint with the company, but I have not receive any response from the company, I did received an email from the store asking me to sharing my experience shopping at Woodburn outlet, I emailed them my complaint and Sonny the offender emailed back, first thing he said was that he apologize for the way he treated me, but he then went into a rant about how if I did not create a mess, he wouldn’t have yelled at me. He also said that I am welcome to come to the store, but next time I come in, maybe I can ask them to help take clothes from the piles instead of pulling it out myself. Is that really an apology??? That’s passive aggressive. Still unacceptable. I have a picture showing what the pile looked like after I grabbed some clothes, I only touched 3 sections of their product. I feel discriminated in that store., His behavior has caused me psychological damage. Even after a little over a week, I still can’t calm down. I can’t sleep whenever I think about it. I know I am a nice and polite person. I didn't steal anything from them, I spent over 900 dollars that day and I was treated like I’m a criminal , I need a formal apology without telling me that it’s my fault he treated me this way.

A racist extremist. There was a terrible Asian manager named Sonny Ayala who was very discriminatory. I don't understand why I discriminate against other Asians when I'm Asian.The Black Friday discount was very good, so I told my family and friends in Canada about the discount. Everyone wants to buy some, and the manager decides I'm reseller. And threatened to have me thrown out of the store.And when I checked out, I didn't know who to call and say that I am illegal person.Also asked the staff to copy down my address, which made me very afraid, why copy down the address of the customer? What did he want by copying down my address?I took a photo of the proof that they copied my address.

The manager Sonny at this store has an extremely poor attitude! I have never encountered such a disgusting manager. My wife visited Ralph Lauren during Black Friday to buy clothes for family members. During checkout, this manager named Sonny claimed my wife had exceeded the allowed purchase limit, which, upon checking the receipt, proved to be untrue. Instead of apologizing after realizing the mistake, he chose to threaten and intimidate my wife by calling the police and recording consumers' private addresses, intending to expel her from the store! This behavior is frightening and unacceptable. Despite realizing he wrongly accused my wife, he did not apologize. Instead, he insulted my wife, claiming she was crazy. We are from China, and while our English may not be perfect, it does not justify this store manager's blatant discrimination. This manager is a hypocrite, treating people differently based on their race – one attitude towards white customers and another towards Chinese customers. I am truly fed up with this discriminatory behavior
