Y’all, this place is overwhelming in the very best way. First of all, as soon as I parked my car I was greeted by three pups! Ahhh! Two teeny cuties, one larger darling, and there was even one more busy sniffing around the perimeter. Then, as soon as you enter, it’s just the most giant and open super high-ceilinged greenhouses! This place has everything you’d expect: annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, and whatnot, but there are plenty of places to get those things. What you come to Hillcrest for is succulents and cacti. SO MANY! We’re talking cacti up to my waist or higher, lithops, giant aeuonium, etc. Tender and perennial varieties, not to mention quite a mix of houseplants. They also had some gorgeous planters and set ups to serve as inspiration. Employees were friendly and I had several make sure I was finding what I was looking for.

Amazing variety of hanging baskets, made here and by someone with a flair for composition. Very genuine family-run business, the kind that make you want to come back.

I live in Beaverton and I am a few decades working with plants and gardening. This place is a hidden gems if you like succulents or cacti. They have the biggest selection in Oregon and their prices are unbeatable. The owner Andrew and his wife are very friendly and helpful. I am glad I found this place.BYT, I gotten about 50 plants from them a month ago and they are outside. Exposed to the freeze/snow that we had the last couple weeks without damaged. So their plants are grown here and more hardy than you can get from other places.

Very nice place to shop for indoor and outdoor plants. Large selection of vegetable starts and annual blooms. Excellent prices! I love Al’s but if you’re needing a large list of plants I would suggest starting here, it’ll save you a significant amount of money.
