I got my eye exam from eye health nw ended up At Americas best in wood village Oregon , I got my glasses ordered their 2 pairs for 79.95 on Feb 8th and they ended up being the wrong prescription so I had to get a new prescription made . I had asked them if they were able to do an eye exam since I ordered 2 glasses it comes with a free eye exam that I didn’t use , they told me I could do that and that I had to go back to where I got my prescription from in the first place , it took me 3 weeks to get back into eye healthnw which is another issue . Got the new prescription and Ordered my correct prescription glasses on 3/1/24 where they told me to drop off both pairs and that they would here in 10-14 days . I call today , they tell me my glasses will not be in until the end of next week !!! Must be nice to be able to see without glasses but if I had would have known it would have been 3 weeks without glasses I would have gone elsewhere ! Also the phone etiquette is disgusting everytime I call there they treat me like I’m bothering them ! Please spend your money elsewhere ! My sister also went there as well and they treated her VERY rude as well 0/10 recommend!

Had a great experience at eye health for my daughters first eye exam. Decided to shop around for glasses and ended up at americas best, what a mistake. My daughter found 4 pairs of glasses she was Interested in. Told one gal at the front counter we wanted to talk to someone about pricing and ordering. She said it would be a bit since there were only two sales people available. Saw people come in and get helped right away while we were waiting patiently. A young girl behind counter said she could help us. When we sat down she asked if we had a prescription from there, I said no from somewhere else. Very rudely, she told us she would make an exception to help us since they usually help their customers first and she said she had customers waiting. I said where? She indicated they were in the rooms which does not make sense if someone is going to order glasses or contacts. We got up and walked out. Terrible customer service and the most unintelligent sales person I’ve met. I’m certain if I buy glasses from the store you work in that would make me a customer. She also lost $200 in sales for the store. So rude and condescending, like she was doing me a favor. Date of this service was Thursday 2/29/24 at 3:30.

Booked an appt end of January. Tech assist was very friendly, but i lost faith when i overheard her ask the O.D what "peripheral" meant (i had mentioned a decrease in my peripherals). I understand we all start with no knowledge and learn as we live, but thats a bit unnerving in an exam setting. Still though, she was kind, helpful, still learning, and I don't fault her for my overall experience. Dr.Bird did the rest of my exam. It felt very rushed, i felt pressured to answer immediately without going back to the other option. He also told me my eyes were perfectly healthy, but I had been warned in previous exams of my pigmentary dispersion, and that id have to keep track of it, so lost faith there as well. Upon purchasing, the person who helped me did not accurately explain what I was being charged for, not even when I asked about the extra $100 than I had been expecting. When I got home I went back to my online cart, and sure enough, with the items i asked for, it was still $100 less than I paid. I called to inquire a second time, same person, she started naming out features and prices really quick without explanation, so I hung up before i got too frustrated. I then called customer care number and the lady was very rude right off the bat. I had been polite and just wanted to know what I was paying for but she came at me like I was being a b*. After I picked up the glasses, I mentioned the left did not feel right. They told me to try them out for a bit, and come in for a refund or recheck after a couple weeks. I tried, but spent the entire time after pickup with a headache. I called customer service again to inquire about refund procedures, and was again answered by a very rude person telling me I had to go to the store if I wanted a refund. I came in the store yesterday to get a refund, but was convinced to get a recheck the next day with a different dr. This time waited an hour, and spent maybe 5mins total between both exam rooms. Felt like a waste of time. Dr.Nyugen was also rude, like I was being a bother, rushed me through, told me theyre not doctors and if I wanted to check on the progress of the pigmentary dispersion, i would have to go to a real doctor. If this is the case, I wouldn't even know about it, as it was previous Americas Best eye exams that told me about it. In the end, i ended up getting a refund anyway, and the person who helped me with it, Kristi, was the best part of my whole experience. Where the O.D's and customer "care" are fresh out of f*ks, she has plenty. 5 stars for her, 0 for the overall experience, avgs out to 3. Thank you for reading :)TL;DR- Kristi is awesome, general lack of f*ks from others.

Had an appointment for my child in August for contacts and it took them until November to set up a contact class for my daughter. I was told that they would have to order the sample contacts before they could set up the appointment. I got the text that the contact arrived and I called them to set up the appointment and they told me they would call me back to set it up. I waited and they never called. I called again and they said to wait they’ll call me. I finally get a call in November and it’s been nothing but waiting. Every time we need a different trial it takes up to 2 weeks to get them. When you call them, they say “we'll call you when we get them it takes 7-10 days” even though we waited 10 days. One of the sample contacts ordered had a bad reaction in my daughter eye and I made afollow up appointment with the optometrist and he gave us an attitude about not trying them saying “well I don’t even know what I’m checking then” I was like WFT they hurt her, did you still want her to try them. I told the staff that and they made the appointment. Thanks a lot for the compassion. He order new samples and its been almost 2 weeks haven’t heard anything yet. I just called them and the same person told me again “you need to wait 7-10 days” we’ll see if this process is ever completed. Maybe it’s because we’re not white, that we’re being treated so poorly. Because I can see the way they treat other customers getting contacts.12/28 update. After posting the review the company reached out by e-mail, saying they would reach out and assist me but so far I have not heard from anyone yet. I went back to finally pick up the trial and everyone gave me an awkward look, which made we feel really uncomfortable. Then they told me that I don’t need anymore appointments and they’ll just give my daughter the prescription without fully evaluating her. I’m at a lost about how poorly I’ve been treated here. I’m just going to pick you the prescription and find a new doctor to adjust it. I’m so sad that I’m not even treated like a person here. Just because I spoke up about how I was treated, there just going to tell me that the treatment is over. I never even got an apology. If you choose to come to this place just be aware that the staff is poorly trained and one person can tell you something different from another and the staff don’t care about you.

all locations- seems amazing on the front end and yes saves a touch of cash but there is nothing convenient or up to date with their process. these locations also do not stock mainstay contacts- all off brand.

Loved the whole experience from making an appt online to the moment I walked out the door. Loved being able to choose from several appointment times (they even had same day availability!) The site was super easy and user friendly. When I arrived, the staff was welcoming and gave me ppwk to complete (which I could have done earlier online but forgot) The staff who did my pre screening was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. And the doctor was also friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. And finally, the staff who completed my check out including ordering my glasses was sweet, efficient and knowledgeable. Great selection of glasses at an affordable price. I really appreciate it when I visit a specialists office and the entire team works together seamlessly and knows what they’re doing. It makes the experience so much better. Thank you for the great service! I dreaded eye appointments before but no longer. I’ll be back for sure!
