horrible, cursed.. 24 hours of disturbance.. home to an illegal chop shop where some local thieves work on their stolen goods all night, banging and sawing through the night keeping awake everyone at the darling historic hotel across the street.. empty shelves and empty fridges, now I know why.. it's just a place for selling alcohol to the local tweakers and letting them work on their stolen merchandise.. encouraged by the unsympathetic owners.. sheriffs office is no help either - what a shame for beautiful Oregonphotos show 3 men using a circular saw at night next to their pickup truck and trailer of stolen goods at 430 am.. and same truck and trailer leaving parking lot at 11am

I have stopped here on all my trips up and down I-5 for at least 35 years. I knew it as a place where I could buy a fresh sandwich. Last week I stopped by and the only thing left were cheeseburgers. Assuming they were fresh and the same high quality as the sandwiches I have bought there before, I bought one, heated it up in the microwave and went on my way. The guy running the place was unfriendly and kind of creepy. New owner? The cheeseburger was atrocious! Absolutely the worst one I have ever eaten. Yes, it was foolish of me to eat the whole thing, but I was hungry and had been on the road 6 hours. I think the cheese was Velveta spread, and the meat was some kind of blend of low-grade ground meat and fillers. The bun was mushy. I read the label and the thing (not a burger) was made in Chicago. Who knows how old it was. It gave me a mild headache. The closest I have come to getting food poisoning in a long time. I will be more cautious in future. Whoever is running this store now is playing a dangerous game. Very irresponsible of them to sell horrible food like I ate. This store used to be busy. The present owner should ask himself or herself why no one stops there any more. Maybe operating a general store is not something they should be doing.

Usually very noisy from drug dealing activity in the parking lot 24/7. We stayed at the Inn across the street on 2-17-23, Friday night and it was first night I've ever been there when it was quiet at the Shell station and General Store all night long. Must be because the store is shutdown. I hope the drug operation has stopped, too or, at least, moved on to somewhere else. I took this photo on 2-13-23, a couple of days before they closed down indefinitely.

We stopped here because my daughter needed a restroom, and I figured I would top up the gas. It was like a scene from a bad movie. There were ten rough looking locals fighting, yelling, and causing trouble in the parking lot. I walked inside to enquire about the washroom and was told it's out of order. There was another local inside yelling obscenities and threatening manager, telling him he'd better pack up and leave town. Apparently the local sherrif was okay with all of this, because he was just pulling out of the parking lot when we were pulling in. Avoid this place at all costs!!

I was from California. In 2020 I came up on a foggy day. Very peaceful in my opinion, got some drinks but the card reader was out. The woman behind the counter said it was all good and let me be on my way. I appreciated that. I loved the looks of it.

You are just as likely to get mugged in front of the store as you are to be able to get a soda pop inside. And dear God don't even try and use the bathroom.

Scary place. This is one of those places you see in a horror movie where they guy goes to the bathroom and the wife disappears. Time has passed this place by.

Pumps weren’t accepting card had to go inside and right away the cashier gave me some nasty look definitely racist would not recommend at all even felt a little scare tbh

The store itself has a decent selection, but the customer service was trash. The bathroom was questionable and the customers/loiterers were methy. A fight in the parking lot and a handful of madness inside had me ready to leave the second I got there.

Bought something I didn’t need so I could use the restroom but the miserable owner said I couldn’t use it. Luckily the nice people across the street at the inn were accommodating.
