When we made the reservation 2 months before the trip, I called and told them I was bringing my dog. I requested a room on the first floor near the exit. They assured me it was not a problem. Upon arrival they gave me a room on the second floor no where near an exit. I told them I was not happy about it and they replied you can wait for another room but who knows how long that will be. I did not appreciate that attitude. There was no apology and no desire to make it right. Second issue: I requested a microwave. They said they would have delivered to the room. We were there 5 days and it never made it. The hotel itself was quiet and was in a good location but the customer service stunk!!! Holiday Inn, do a better job of training your people. It would make a huge difference. We won’t stay there again.

The most awful experience. Father’s Day trip was ruined. We booked through Priceline. Specifically stated we needed a room with 2 BEDS since we were traveling with two adult size kids.
We even called the day of check in to confirm the room and 2 beds. They said we were all set.
When we got there they gave us a king size bed. Just ONE. When we explained that we needed the two beds they basically said tough luck. They had no rooms and since we booked with a third party we were out of Luck. They gave us a cot. A COT! To make matters worse we had chosen this hotel mainly because they have a pool. The pool was closed! Completely ruined our Father’s Day trip. The worst part is that no one stepped up to try and make this better. Definitely DO NOT RECCOMEND.
Absolutely NOONE has reached out. Your response is more insulting than helpful.

We had a great stay in this hotel. We loved the 24/7 availability of the coffee. We liked the gym and pool amenities. It was so nice that they granted our request to have a microwave in the room. The housekeeping was done daily except for the last 3 days of our stay. There was variety of options for breakfast but the choices were just not that good except for the fruits. The restaurant was a bit pricey.
Walkability: Very close to Target, Costco and other restaurants in the place.
Food & drinks: There’s a mini market where you can buy soap for the laundry and all others.

One of the most beautiful states in the American Union, you deserve to rest in a hotel that gives what you are looking for, peace, rest after a long trip

This is extremely disappointing because the place is cute and clean but after my terrible experience I don’t think I will stay at a holiday inn again. We checked in at 10:30pm after a super long work and travel day. They started the check in like nothing was wrong but then as she is making my keys she informs me that earlier that day a new employee messed up and went into my account and deleted the payment info on file and because I booked through a third party app I would have to call them and get them to resubmit the payment info to them. (My issue with that is why didn’t they try and call that company to fix the mistake they made and if it happened way earlier in the day at least call me and let me fix it at a reasonable time it was 10:15pm and the main support wasn’t even open anymore). With it put all on me to resolve this issue I called support and played middle man between the hotel and the third party booking site getting information for them, mind you I paid for this room in advance a month ago so I clearly can show them that I have paid in full. After an hour of this around 11:15 pm We ask if it’s possible we can just get into the room and figure this out in the morning and they said no. We asked to speak to a manager too and they said no one was in so they tried calling and leaving a message and we overheard her asking if at this point they could try to “just cancel our stay and send us on our way” at 11:15pm when we live 5 hrs away. I finally was able to get the support to email a new copy of the payment info they needed around midnight. They tried charging it and couldn’t do it so we waited around as they tried to mess with it until they finally were like “we have the info but can’t charge it till the morning so we will just get you in your room now”. Absolutely ridiculous experience, we stood there for two hours figuring this out with no help from them and very little remorse about the situation. For the “inconvenience” she gave us a breakfast voucher they typically make you pay $15 for and some waters. (The breakfast should have been free it was the quality of a hotels complementary breakfast) She also said she would upgrade our room but we got to the room and it was completely the standard room I paid $160 for. So extremely disappointed with this experience. She mentioned this happens from time to time and that the employee who did it this time was new but she said she even did it a few times so I felt it important to share my experience with this hotel to save someone the trouble if it’s a frequent thing they experience here.
Safety: Also the front doors to the lobby lock without a room key you can’t get in but there is a broken door that is on the actual hotel side that just opens and you don’t need a keep to get in so not safe.

I have some suggestions....when someone books a room and tells you they have a dog, send them the pet policies when you send the confirmation email.
We did not know we could not leave her in our room unattended, even in her kennel, to at least go eat in your restaurant.
OK....order room service. Nope! You not longer have room service. OK...go to the restaurant and order food to go. Only a burger though because a steak isn't pleasant in a cardboard container with plastic utensils.... Get back to the room.....no where to eat it. No table and only one tiny TV tray....have to eat it while sitting on the bed.....
We had two days of this....C'mon.....you can, and SHOULD do better than this. We paid our extra $70. My dog was well behaved or we wouldn't have brought her. She was MUCH more behaved than the 5 children running through the hallways unsupervised.
When we checked in, we politely asked where the area was that we could take her to go to the bathroom. No real answer...
we were charged an additional $20 for "incidentals". I asked "What incidentals?"...she actually said she didn't know. Dont get me wrong....your staff were very nice, pleasant and a pleasure. Maintenance was promp when our TV and lights quit working on one side of the room...your restaraunt staff are top notch (especially the lady named Tanya). Your food has gone downhill a bit though. We had to bring breakfast to our room in the cardboard containers and it was cold by the time we got it there...no microwave to heat it up.
So.......next time we will eat out at a local restaurant because our dog is well behave waiting in our car...you will lose money that way, but we want to be able to eat at a table and RELAX and enjoy our meal and a glass of something special.
Oh...by the way. This trip was for pleasure...I have used this same hotel MANY times for business and never had a complaint. I will think twice just because of the poor planning on the management team that is running this place now.
Rooms: very comfortable bed and clean.
Food & drinks: The food used to be of better quality.

We didn't expect to love this hotel but it was great! Our room was super cozy and we felt very at home here. We stayed for several days and had a nice time. Lots of amenities in this large hotel. It's a little dated from the outside but the rooms were modern and clean and the beds were comfy. Excellent value and friendly service in our few interactions.

Quite the wall paper. I was never able to break the secret code.
Safety: The Portland area isn't exactly known for its safety these days, but I was comfortable with the security of this hotel.

Do not recommend this location for a number of reasons (see below), the only saving grace of this place was that I felt the two younger gentlemen at the front desk were really trying their best but seemed petrified of the environment (not sure if that’s a mixture of the location or their manager or both).
Entering the hotel, vagrancy is an issue. People loitering about. Theft is also a problem at this hotel. In the first 30 minutes of being checked into my room, police were on site dealing with two problems (one at the on site restaurant and another for a separate issue that was on the premise but off to the side a bit). Trash was piled up against the back wall of the property (looked like someone’s leavings/half made tent and trash compounded).
Walking into the hotel is felt grungy. While smelling clean, the physical appearance was putting me off. It looked like they may have been in the middle of repairs or maybe needed a fresh coat of paint? It looked a tad run down.
Getting to my room, the room itself was clean but there were problems with it. Inside my bath area, the ceiling was coming down in a corner and had visible water damage showing from the upstairs unit. Paint bubbled and peeling in this corner. My door was janky as heck! Dead bolt didn’t lock and the door didn’t open correctly either. I eventually found out why - I’ll get to that in a minute. My room was also advertised to have a microwave, it did not have one. Instead I had to go down to the lobby anytime I wanted to reheat food (I ate a fair amount of cold food during my stay as a result). On top of that, they wouldn’t let any deliveries go to the room and instead were forced to pick it up at the front desk. Having to leave my dogs unattended in the room (and pray my newer puppy didn’t decide to shred a pillow) it was extremely inconvenient.
Noise… oh the noise! Ironically not from other guests but instead the housekeeping staff and at all hours of the day and night (what are quiet hours when not even followed by their own employees). Banging of house keeping carts into my door, banging the walls, LOUD conversations by my door (hen house - constant chatter), and let’s not forget my favorite - slamming the door! Yes! All hours, all day!!! ?? Not cool! The house keeping closet needs to be located elsewhere. Not directly across from a room in a narrow as heck hallway.
The deadbolt on my door didn’t work as mentioned above because of how many carts have been rammed into the door that it’s physically knocked it out of alignment (see pictures). What in the heck?
My stay was so bad that I ended up leaving the hotel early and switching hotels for the next two weeks of my stay it was so bad!!!
Stay away from this Holiday Inn. For the price it’s not worth it. Spend the extra 5-10 bucks and get yourself a better hotel elsewhere. This one is also the worst Holiday Inn I’ve stayed in out of three countries.
Do. Not. Recommend. Bottom Line.
Edit: To response of my review, look it up for yourself. My eyewitness accounts match what I later found out about this area - the hotel is located in the second highest corridor of Wilsonville high crime rates. Additionally, if Vagrancy wasn’t an issue, then why am I encountering it on property during my stay and have vagrants bikes, bags of trash and leavings on property? Seems to me perhaps you aren’t aware of what’s happening on site despite the hotel awards.
Rooms: See my review on this - rooms are not worth the price. They should be valued like a motel 6 for my stay here. Anything more than $80USD, you’re overpaying for what’s offered.
Safety: In the first 30 minutes here, cops were on property because of the shenanigans in the area. Vagrancy is a problem and cars are broken into/at risk property. No hotel security to deal with this. Vagrancy trash on site as well and not cleaned up or maintained by the hotel.

this is the worst holiday inn I ever met. As they said that the pets are allowed in their description. I went to check in, I have a cat as per, but they told me dog only. They did not say only dog allowed in the description. It is ridiculous. Waste my time and disrupt my plan.

My biggest complaint is the fact that they will not let delivery drivers come to the room. The claim security, yet I could walk in plain clothes and access the whole hotel even if I was not a guest. Go back to allowing delivery drivers to go to the rooms. Not getting a free basket sucks to

High price and breakfast not included. This is already the 6th hotel on our route, the highest price and the lowest service for guests.

wasn't given a proper keycard until 10pm, they told me to keep my door cracked open instead. The bathroom shower drain doesn't work and water runs all along the floor and soaked many if my things, staff didn't seem to care that it ruined my Stay. Room 138
